Yeah I'm pretty lucky, alot of my friend's husbands get mad. Mine is pretty amazing and puts up with my obsessions. :)

Right? Except the irony is that most of my books now are on electronic bookshelves..but I still have my classics in hardback :)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I have a beautiful set of classics in hard back...My mom had gotten them from someplace Reader's Digest as a graduation gift YEARS ago. There's probably 40-50 books in the set. I have lots of ebooks as well, but I still buy paper and get the ebooks I adore in paper LOL

Sounds lovely. I always wish I had one of those floor to ceiling librays shelves, with a tall ladder kind of like your miss piggy pic or the library in the beasts mansion in Beauty in the Beast :)

Juliet (yiinochi) Hi everyone!

I'm Juliet from Singapore and I had loved books (and still do) since I was young.

I am a huge fan of romance novels and any type of romance will made it into my book list. However I leaned heavily towards historical & contemporary romance.

Hope to find more interesting reads from members in this group.

message 774: by Laura (new)

Laura (lglovett) I love those kinds of stories too! I seem to go in spurts and it also depends on how I can work two challenges together to get them all done at the same time. Right now I am reading mysteries, LOL

Welcome to the group!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Welcome to RLftCI, Juliet & Jennie!!

Jennie, have you read Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts, #1) by Kele Moon ? It is just a short, sweet book. Not earth shattering, but nice and certainly has a "big beefy famous guy falling for a normal girl."

message 776: by Jennie (new)

Jennie | 79 comments No I haven't *adds to read pile* lol thanks!! for me doesn't have to be earth shattering at all, I like most books unless they are really bad...LOL

message 781: by Lori (new)

Lori Baldi Hello to all. I'm new to the group but have been active with Goodreads for a year or 2. I just found you! But maybe I've hesitated because I read so many genres and don't stick with romance reading. I'm all over the place with straight fiction, mysteries & thrillers. I find, though, that some of my favorites books through the years tend to be romance. All time favorite writers are Susan Howatch, Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux. The books that really sway me are the ones that with passion -- and that's not another word for sex! When I'm crying at the end of a book, it is usually a keeper. Unless it's so bad that I'm crying because I've finally finished the stinker.

message 782: by Laura (new)

Laura (lglovett) LOL!

Welcome to the group, Lori. I read all kinds of books too, so don't feel like you have to only read Romance books, if anything this is a place to find new authors that you might want to try and meet new friends.

I love books that make me cry too!

message 784: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Welcome Lori! I couldn't agree more, if a book has been written well enough that the plot or the prose moves me to tears, then it's special enough to be a keeper. Crack up though, I've not yet had one that made me cry from frustration. :-)
