Hey Josephine! My day has been great so far. I slept in and now I'm working on my spring cleaning project. :)

Yup. All the time. I'm sick of them. Better now, but I do feel as if I've been hit by a truck.

I'm Kimberly I live in Toronto Canada and I joined because I love Romance novels...when I was in my early teens I was crazy about them and I think it started a life long love of them :) I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

YAY! Hi Robin!

I am Alex, I live in Bristol (in the UK).
I like fantasy, historical romance, fantasy romance etc.
Hmm favourite books- Phantom of the Opera, Count of Monte Christo, Wuthering Heights, pretty much anything by Terry Pratchett.

I'm South African by birth but have lived in Israel for the last 25 years.
I'm addicted to reading challenges and romances so I'm hoping to feed my addictions here.

I love any and all challenges but my favorites are ones that you need to find a book to fit a certain category.
I'm doing the Battle of the Bands challenge at RRRC and the Year of the Dragon and Seasons of Love at SOS. I'm also playing Bookshelf Bingo and really enjoying it. I think I need help, lol!

I wonder if we could do a team game here... hmmm...
*goes off to ponder*

I'm also a little behind in my Year of the Dragon challenge. Hopefully I'll catch up this month - think I'll read

I'm 35, mom of 2, and live in NJ. I read strictly historical romances up until about a year ago and then tried out a few contemporary romances. I also read category romances in between. This next year I want to branch out into other subgenres and try them to see if I'll like them. I'm finding that mixing up the subgenres keeps things interesting for me.
For historicals I like Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, Sarah MacLean, and Jennifer Ashley. I love older Julie Garwood historicals and The Bride is one of my favorite books of all time. For contemporaries I love Julie James and just recently discovered Jill Shalvis. Typically I prefer lighter reads, but occasionally I love a really good angsty book.

The Bride is one of my all-time favourite comfort reads!! It's such a funny, adorable, feel-good book :-)

I love that book so much and all of her historicals that I tracked her whole backlist down on ebay a few years ago so I'd have them again. I first read them when I was a teenager about 20 years ago. I'm due for a reread of it soon.

My favorite book of all time is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston. I read it for English class in high school (a VERY long time ago) and fell in love with it! Some of my other favorites are To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, Breaking Dawn, and all the Harry Potter books. It's so hard to pick just one.
I've also recently ventured into the world of self-publishing with my first novel,

I hope I get to meet and talk with you all, and I can't wait to get started on my challenges. Happy reading!

I've never heard of
Their Eyes Were Watching God but have added it to my list. I'm always on the lookout for good books.
Best of luck with your self-publishing venture. I hope it leads to many great things for you. I find it a fascinating endeavour! Also added your book to my list :-)

P.S. I love that this group is broad enough to except so many different types of romance genres. I love everything from Highlander romances to PRN & UF with romance. It's nice to know that I can discuss all different books here. Can't wait to participate :)
