Abby | 63 comments Hi! My name is Abby and I hail from Toronto Canada. I can't really give you ONE favorite author or book from said author. I have a lot of them lol. I normally read Paranormal and Urban Fantasy romance since, as somebody else has already said... Normal just don't cut it for me anymore lol. I will read a contemporary romance once in a while though. Right now I love Christine Feehan, Jeanine Frost, Jacquelyn Frank, Laurann Dohner, and a bunch of others .. And I have a few others like Laurell K Hamilton and Kerrelyn Sparks on my TBR list and it's always growing since I'm constantly looking and finding new books/series to read :)

message 561: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Welcome Abby! I'm a big fan of Jeaniene Frost also, and I've liked the few Christine Feehan I've read, I'll have to check out the other authors you've named. Check out some of the buddy reads and challenges here, I'm sure you'll find something you like!

message 562: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Welcome, Abby! I'm familar with some of those authors but not Jacquelyn Frank, Laurann Dohner, or Kerrelyn Sparks. I'll have to check them out.

Elishia | 2620 comments Hi my names Elishia and i'm from London, England. I've been on here for a while but only started joining groups the last few months, really liking the challenges want to try a group or buddy read next though. Can't choose one author/book as I have many. I read a lot of Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, contemporary and more recently M/M. Trying a few historical as well as I read a couple recently and enjoyed them.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Welcome to our little group, Elishia! It is difficult to choose one author or book!

message 565: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments You know, we haven't done a "buddy read" of a M/M book. That might prove interesting.

Kate Huebner Hi, I'm Kate Huebner, I live in PA and my favourite author, right now, is Katie MacAlister. My favourite book, right now, is A Girls Guide to Vampires. I love paranormal books of almost any genre and I spend most my spare time reading.

Lina | 5563 comments Welcome Kate!
I haven't read a Katie MacAlister yet, but I see her ratings are good for her books. Snap on the spare time, when I have it, it's spent with a book nearby :-)

message 572: by Kate (new)

Kate Huebner Lisa, I highly recommend her Dark Ones series, they're funny and romance packed.

Yeah, that series I'm a little patchy in. I've read #1 & #4. I guess I better go back and fill in the blanks. LOL!

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) Hi!!!! My name is Robin and I currently live in NE but originally from TN : ) I have been a lurker here for some time and finally decided to join. I have been a Romance lover since my early childhood days and ONLY read books in this genre for many years. But since joining GR I am expanding my horizons but Romance is still my favorite!!! Some of my favorite authors include Nora Roberts, Debbie Macomber, Fern Michaels, Catherine Anderson, Danielle Steel, Susan Wiggs, Wanda Brunstetter, Lauraine Snelling, Kim Vogel Sawyer, Shelley Shepard Gray,Beverly Lewis, Cindy Woodsmall and the list goes on lol My newest favorite author is Ellen Hopkins!!! I can't really say that I have a lot of favorite books as I tend to love MOST all of them : )

I see some familiar faces here and pretty much followed them by their postings (sorry ladies) lol Hi Lisa Kay, Susan(susayq), Midu, and Gaijinmama!!!! Looks like a fun group and I look forward to chatting, reading and getting involved in the challenges which I LOVE!!!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments **waves** Hi, Robin! Welcome to our little group. ☺ I hope you'll like it here.

I've read some of those authors... but not:
Wanda Brunstetter, Lauraine Snelling, Kim Vogel Sawyer, Shelley Shepard Gray,Beverly Lewis, Cindy Woodsmall, or Ellen Hopkins. Neat, more authors for me to check out! Thanks!

message 585: by Robin (Saturndoo) (last edited May 07, 2012 02:28PM) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) **waves back** Thanks Lisa Kay!!! Wanda Brunstetter, Shelley Shepard Gray, Beverly Lewis and Cindy Woodsmall write about the Amish , Lauraine Snelling and Kim Vogel Sawyer write christian fiction about pioneer days. Ellen Hopkins writes YA and just a warning to you her subjects are serious dark but important. A lot of people have a hard time reading her books because they are written in verse and often the shape/form (sometimes in a picture shape) of the verse helps portray the feelings and emotions of the character(s). You are welcome!!! I am sure I have a few more authors up my sleeve but none are coming to mind right now lol I love christian historical fiction/romance and the Amish books. In some of my groups I am the go to lady on the Amish books and authors lolol

message 586: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yes, I read Historical Christian Fiction occasionally, too, Robin. Just picked up Renaissance Brides by Barbara Youree at the Friends of the Library Booksale over the week-end.
