Master List of Books! If you're ever in need of a new read...

Ummm.... lets see... I don't know really what I can say without giving away things because it is one of those books that explains as it goes... Here is the synopsis on the back of the book:
Once, a hero arose to save the world. A young man with a mysterious heritage courageously challenged the darkness that strangled the land.
He failed.
For a thousand years since, the world has been a wasteland of ash and mist ruled by the immortal emperor known as the Lord Ruler. Every revolt has failed miserably.
Yet somehow, hope survives. Hope that dares to dream of ending the empire and even the lord ruler himself. A new kind of upsirsing is being planned, one built around the ultimate caper, one that depends on the cunning of a brilliant criminal mastermind and the determination of an unlikely heroine, a street urchin who must learn to master Allomancy, the power of a Mistborn.
That is the synopsis from the back of the first book.
Haha sorry that wasn't a very good way of explaining was it? Anyway its a really good book. Its only like $8 in the U.S. I think.

Nope I'm pretty sure that is not in the series."
okay, well, i hadn't looked into Mistwood- or or Mistborn for that matter.

P.S. I kinda liked The Outsiders!

I don't know if we should add them under series or childrens, the amazon review reccomened them for children 12 & up however I read them when I was 10 and I was just fine, I am now almost 17 and as with all Gloria Whelan's books they are just as great now as they were when I was a preteen

For me, It was just a lot of cats dieing."
Well, that is one thing I don't like about those books.

12 books not including fledgling handbook

david eddings - the belgariad, if you are into plain vanilla high fantasy.
katharine kerr - the deverry cycle, if you like celtic high fantasy (16 books - older teens)
julian may - the saga of the pliocene exiles and the galactic milieu trilogy, celtic high fantasy with some sci-fi (9 books - older teens)

I went to Barnes & Noble last week (I could live there I love it so much) and I saw that book on the shelf. I scanned through it and was like, "Got to read this!"
The way Zusak wrote it, that I saw, was really cool. Like, I don't really know what is was.

Depressing, depressing book."
had to read it for english, eyes gots watery at the end :(
The Maximum Ride books are awsome!

I get what you mean, Taylor. We only had two male elementary school teachers, and they both taught fourth grade. They were two of the best in the school though. (There was also a third grade one, but he retired the year before I got there.)
It wasn't until middle school that we started to really have male teachers, but even then, and even now in high school, the majority are female.

On The Run-Gordon Korman
Heroes of Olympus-Rick Riordan
The Kane Chronicles-Rick Riordan
Alex Rider series-Anthony Horowitz(sp)
39 Clues-Rick Riordan, Gordon Korman, Peter Lerangis, Jude Watson, Margeret Peterson Haddix, Linda Sue Park.
Ummmm I probably could think of more but my brain's a little fried.
There is also the Uglies series, which I would recommend for anybody over the age 13. They are wonderful:
This is my review of the first book, if you are curious click here :) (there are no spoilers)
by Scott Westerfeld

I would also recommend Paranormalcy. I read it a few weeks ago and it was really good. It was better than I thought it would be. I stayed up to 1am reading it and I only do that with my favourite books.
Yes, ive read them all now. I liked them. Id give the series a 3/5. It was enjoyable-I would recommend them. But the first was the best.
