ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments Thank you :) I have the Kiss of Midnight on my ebook, I will probably give that one a shot. I really enjoy the BDB series also, but prefer a series that follows the same character's. Another series you might like if you like the BDB series is the Dark Hunter series. But honestly I like the BDB series better.

I don't know why but I just couldn't get into the Sookie Stackhouse books, I read the first on and dude gave me the creeps, lol.

Thanks again :)

The first book was the weakest out of all the books. I really enjoyed the rest of the series a lot. I understand not liking the first one.

Andrea, you have 2 of my top 5 faves series listed here (Night Huntress & Fever) and Richelle Mead & Mortal Instruments are in my top 10, so here are my other 3 fave series--

Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews

Karen Chance's Cassie Palmer
Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance Claimed By Shadow (Cassandra Palmer, #2) by Karen Chance Embrace the Night (Cassandra Palmer, #3) by Karen Chance Curse the Dawn (Cassandra Palmer, #4) by Karen Chance

And my last top 5 is the Sookie's--you should give them another chance. :)

And I noticed you have Outlander on your TBR list--definitely read that, one of my faves ever.

Thanks Laura, I keep seeing those Cassie Palmer books come up and they sound really good. The Kate Daniels sounds good too. I don't know if I can try Sookie again but maybe someday I will try.

I have that series (Lord of the Underworld) sitting on my "to read" self. Good to know that you like it. I am sure that I will, too. Never read any of her books, so I have been wondering if they were any good.

I would suggest the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by JR Ward if you haven't read it. Very Sexy Vamps! I really liked the Night Huntress Series, and thought it would be hard to find something as good right away after...but the BDB books are really good. I am currently just finishing up a really cool series called The Immortal After Dark Series by Kresley Cole. It not only has vamps, but also demons, witches, fey, werewolves, etc...but does a good of it. If you haven't read the Charlaine Harris Series that's another good one!

I LOVE that series and was so disappointed that I read through them so fast! I was used to the lengthy series like the Dark Hunters series, so I shocked myself when I read her books in all of a week. But what a great week it was!

Full Moon Rising
Mona Lisa Awakening
Storm Born
Moon Called

Thanks ... good to hear. I, also, am into the long series. Anita Blake, Dark Hunters, Merry Gentry, BDB ... and so on. I am on book 3 of the Midnight Breed series. So, it will be a nice change to start a series close to the start and not have to read so many books to catch up.

I am on the 3rd book in the Midnight Breed series. The first one is not the best, it sets up the series for you (like most first books), but if you stick with them you might like them. I am enjoying them.

I have read the entire Midnight Breed series and I found that if I read other books in between, I enjoyed the series more. When I read them back to back, I got a little bored. Much like the BDB books, they are mostly predictable as are any PNR book. They are still good though.

YEP--URBAN FANTASY ROMANCE--IT'S URBAN FANTASY WITH MORE ROMANCE--FEVER SERIES WOULD BE URBAN FANTASY. THE NIGHT HUNTRESS SERIES WOULD BE UFR. I LIKE TO BREAK IT OUT TO UFR B/C I LIKE THAT GENRE BEST :-)

Andrea, I would consider the series starters listed below Urban Fantasy Romance. The last one on the list, Moon Called IMO leans more towards UF, but there is a ton of romantic tension--a little more so than Moning's Fever series, but the series so far is great. I have attached a link to the books and my review if you want more of a description.

Full Moon Rising ☆☆☆☆ My Review of Full Moon Rising
Mona Lisa Awakening ☆☆☆☆☆ My Review of Mona Lisa Awakening
Storm Born ☆☆☆☆ My Review of Storm Born

Nancy (nancyjcohen) | 74 comments I'm reading Kris Longknife: Undaunted. I enjoy this sci fi series by Mike Shepherd. It's space opera with a strong heroine who's not only a military commander but also a princess related to the ruling family. It has comedy and action, and although not as much romance as I'd like, I find the character engaging.
