Caine usually has a preface to each book to remind you of where the last left off. Nice, since she tends towards "to be continued" sorts of endings!
I just got DM in from B&N today. I'm almost afraid to read your review first!

Too funny! I Just got to the part where Elhena materialized on the balcony of V's and Doc Jane's "Pleasure Pent House" Had me giggling right out loud ON THE BUS during the ride home from work! Everyone around thought I was crazy. It's just too funny!

umm... have you read the Mortal Insturments series or the Vampire Academy series or the Gemma Doyle trilogy? I would recommend all of thouse, I really liked them.

I've read her other series Vampire Academy and really liked it. Have you read that one and is Storm Born as good as thouse books?

You are opening the flood gate for everyone's favorites! ;-) Are you looking for something more/less romance, more/less action, more/less sexual situations? Do you like weres, shifters, vamps...or does it matter?
Without knowing exactly what you are looking for and after reviewing your shelves, and seeing what your taste seems to be--here are a few of my favorite series that I did not see on your shelves. I will put the first book in the series:

Gosh, there are so many--I don't want to overwhelm you. I might have other suggestions once you clarify what you are looking for. I am sure you will gets tons of recs here.

I put off reading Storm Born forever--it is one of my new favorite series.

Oh I know. I know the answer!
Barbara I had a look at your shelves and this is what I suggest.
• Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole (PNR) A must read!
• Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter (PNR)Enjoyed the series.
• Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost (PNR) Loved it. Can’t wait 4 next book.
• City of Bones (Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare (YA PNR)

I recommend the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh. The first book in the series is

I have not read her other series, so other than hearing that it is a great series, I can't really comment on how it compares to the Storm Born series. I can tell you though that this book is very good, and is getting better as I go along. I would def. recommend it, even at this stage of the book that I'm in.

Yeah I have too, even though I had heard great things about it. I can't even tell you how long I've had the series on my book shelf. Anyhow I'm really enjoying it so far and am starting to wonder why I waited so long to start it *shakes head*

I have not read her other series, so other than h..."
Cool I'll have to check it out. And since you haven't read the Vampire Academy books I definetly recommend them, their really good.

I recommend the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh. The first book in the series is [bookcover:Slave t..."
that was going to be one of my other suggestions.

I recommend the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. The first book is

If you want a lighter PNR read that is funny I suggest the Queen Betsy Series by MaryJanice Davidson. The first book is

Another series I like that is lighthearted as well but the central charcaters are witches, is the hexy series by Linda Wisdom. Many of the secondary characters are a variety of the paranormal. The first book is [image error]
Oh, a new series that is good and funny is the Jane Jameson series by Molly Harper. The first book is

I am currently reading

I know this is weird but Zsadist has always been one of my favorite brothers. just saying :P

Good to know Kyle! You convinced me and I will take your advice :)

It seems like with this one though things just kind of pick up where the last book left off, too bad I don't remember where it left off at! Unless she explains thing within the next 10 pages or so I'm going to have to go find my copy of Glass Houses. No big deal though, I'm sure I just need to skim the end and it'll come back to me.

Alycia, I read the Hunger Games to and really loved it as well. And if you DO decide to read the second one you won't be disappointed. It (Catching Fire) answers a lot of questions from the first book. I really enjoyed it. Some of the people I know that have read it, thought that the first book was better. But I think the second one has a lot of insight to the first one. It's more in depth. And it does have the same kind of adventure in it as the first. So you won't be disappointed. If you do read it I hope you like it :D

I'm still trying to make it through

Tonya -- I enjoyed the Mona Lisa series, but was disappointed with book 4. I am curious how you'll feel :)

I'm still trying to make it through [bookcover:The Taste of Night The Second Sign of the..."
i was a little disappointed with book 4 too--believe it or not.

Going to start

I love those books. Can't wait for the next one.

Is it good cause I read the first one

Thank you Sarah! I think I will check it out. I am convinced. I really did love THG! Once I read it I'll post what I think of it. Several members of this group are encouraging me to read it. :)

Amanda, I have read all of the Vampire Chronicles & Mayfair Witches series..."
Thanks for the heads up thats what it as like reading the second book to Nightwold The third part just went on and on.

Is it good cause I read the first one"
umm... well I'm not that far so it's hard to tell, but if you haven't read Blue Moon yet you'll want to read it before you read this one, cause it's the third one, and I've read Blue Moon and find that even I'm getting confused cause it's been so long since I read the last one that I'm forgeting things. But so far I think that I like it better than the second but not the first book. But there are some new characters that I'm interested in learning more about and so thats helping me get into it. So when I get further I'll let you know how it is.

Sure, Your welcome :D Book 3 of the Hunger Games trilogy comes out next August (2010). I can't wait for that to come out. Suzanne Collins has another series called the Underland Chronicles. And I have heard really good things about that one to. It's more of a younger YA book series though, It's about sewer rats. I might have to read that one to my kids :D Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the second book as much as I did.

I thought it had a good premise, but poor execution. There are a lot of almosts to it.

has anyone read this book? i just want to see someones thoughts on it."
Oh boy...sorry Kabs I really didn't enjoy this book at all. I'm not going to give you the specifics to why because it might just be a personal preference. I can say that it was the only book I struggled to finish this year. I hope you find it more to your liking.

Kabs, like Silvana, I really didn't like Sunshine at all & it took me forever to ger through it as well. It was one of those books that I had really wanted to read for a long time & it was so disappointing once I finally got through it.

And I really liked it, but I like Robin McKinley. I would have liked a little more to the romance, but it is a YA.
