What are you reading right now?

Hi Gem H!
I just finished [bookcover:On the Prowl|..."
Valorie, did you like it better than the first book? I read Howling at the Moon earlier this year & really didn't care for it at all. However, I try not to judge a series by the first book. I'm #1 on the list at PB Swap, but put it on hold because I've been hesitant to get it.

I feel the same, Cherra. Bedroom-only, LOL. Otherwise, it's a little lame to me. xD

It does take about 100 pages to get into The Host, but it is worth it. I don't think you'll be disappointed when you finish the book.

Ya I do the same thing, even though I have to get up at 5:30 for school everyday.

Uhhh, yes--pain is the main aspect of the whole disturbing book. The torture is endless--the doms come up with all these stupid rules for the subs to follow and if they DON'T follow them exactly, they are beaten and sexually/physically tortured. If they DO follow the rules exactly they get beaten and sexually/physically tortured--where is the reward? I mean, it is really ridiculous and these stupid morons who are the submissives think they actually love their dominates. They are all completely whacked in the head. Honestly, I can't even imagine how she came up with the majority of the scenes for the books. I told Flibity Floob that I was actually kind of embarrassed to have it on my shelves.

oh yeah, risque for sure when she wrote it--very very graphic and not in a good way. dont think i will be exploring the rest of the trilogy.

I know what you mean about feeling a little embarrassed. I bought it a while back, started reading it, and knew within the first few pages that it just wasn't for me. I returned it. To each his own, but it just wasn't my thing.

Now on to

Once again I have put it back on the self. I will try again maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.

I agree Cherra. I had the hardest time reading this book. I actually didn't think I would make it to the end. I am not one to shy away from "heat" but this was down right humiliating and abusive. I was very disappointed because I had just read her book Belinda and fell in love with it.

yeah, i don't think i will be continuing the trilogy, but i am kinda curious how it all ends for Beauty. After hearing that the sexual torture in book 2 involves a cat, I think that is enough to satisfy my curiosity--as I am quite sure Beauty is totally screwed for life.

Hi Gem H!

Actually, I did enjoy it more than the first book. I really did like the first book though too. I think the first book had more character building going on than this one. This one seemed to have more going on in the story.

I have it on my to-read list, and need to read it soon. Let me know what you think of it. "
The whole series is great!!!

This one's great too!
Crux by Moira Rogers, has anyone else read it or anything else by that author??

Nope, you won't be disappointed. Mercy & Riley are in my top 2 fave of the series, along with Judd & Brenna.
Enjoy! ;)

I am starting

oh good! thanks for the suggestion. i will check them out!

I LOVED this book. I've read and own the whole series. Love it. I've tried to go to the library but I don't like not owning my books. Gets freakin expensive but I can't help it!

It's my second try. I couldn't get in to it before, but I here it gets better and that the rest of the series is really good.
