What are you reading right now?
I finished reading Lover Awakened, Lover Revealedand Lover Unbound and I am now halfway through Lover Enshrined. having trouble updating my bookself though, for some reason it wont let me :(
So true, Tara. Where are these men in real life?! They ain't workin' in my hood!
I have just finished reading J.R WARD The Black Dagger Brotehrhood series, now reading Charlaine Harris sookie Stackhouse Book 1, and also reading the Host, it took me about 40 pages to get into this book, but I have been prewarned that it is a little slow, Im really getting into now, and glad that I did not give up on it.

I hope you like them Emma! It took me a little over 109 pages to get into the host. Once in the caves, the book is really good. I read it on my second try.

I've just finished The Hunger Games series, well the two that are out, and it was really good. Waiting for the third. you'll enjoy them.

last night. And 20 pages in everyone has a normal name! I was hoping for something crazy that starts with and X/Y/Z for the pnr challenge! Lol.
Just when you think you can depend on an author, they go naming their character Bob.

i am really hoping this is good b/c i have been reading some total crap lately. in october i read a lot of awesome books now the mediocre books are suffering ...i guess that is what happens when you read so many good books in a row...

Went off the PNR path for a moment and just finished Shadowman, by Cody McFayden.
This was a phenominal book. FBI, Serial and suspense. I have the review on my page. A great read and I highly recomment it.

I have a hole in the pnr challenge that I was hoping Covet would fill. She's usually good with names like Zsadist and Xhex... I just need an XYZ name in a book that I have in my giant pile of TBR books!

Also Clare has a new side series The Clockwork Princess also due out next year.
I loved Mortal Instruments series! Those are deffinately one of my favorite series so far. I love the quotes, the quick comments and all the smart ass come backs. All the character's are great and I so can't wait for the next book :)

I just finished
and loved it! Great romantic paranormal read. Jacquelyn Frank really goes into depth with the romance between Jacob and Isabelle. She weaves a great story that gives you history and background on the other Nightwalkers.
I just finished reading my first Sherilyn Kenyon novel Fantasy Lover, I must say I am really disappointed. It was so cheesy and totally not what I am used to. I am not really into romance novels per say but I prefer a good fantasy storyline and if there just happens to be some romance in there well, its a bonus. I mean who says Holy Green guacamole? I have been told that the dark hunter series do get better so I will give the other books a shot, if not i think I will forget the entire series. Such a shame as she does have some good reviews? Do her books get better?

No, think it's a couple of years old (well it is according to Amazon here in the UK).
Yeah, the first six BDB books have different covers in the UK:
Oddly though, they kept the US cover for Lover Avenged, but have a scary cover up for Lover Mine (although the US one is very nice)

I've heard really mixed things about Fantasy Lover, so I wouldn't judge the series by it. I think the DH world is really good and I would certainly recommend trying another one or two (at least make it to a Were Hunter story - yum...).

HELP! I"m on disc 5 of Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr and at this point between the story and the reader I don't want to go on with life, much less go on with the book.I am realizing that this is a teen book and perhaps that is colouring my perception of the story. However I read the Twilight series and loved all of them. And it might be that I just finished listening to an awesome book - Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. The book/story and reader were both great! If you've read this one, did you notice that the cover model looks like the one for Jeanine Frost's Grave (Bones) series?
Any encouragement/opinions???

There's nothing more disappointing than coming to the end of a series and having to wait a year or more for the next book, if there will even be one. :(

I agree Fantasy Lover was a waste as a book (IMHO) but it does introduce characters and knowledge that will be referred to in her later dark hunter and dream hunter books. If you visit her website, she gives the reading order. Please keep going, I think you will enjoy the rest of the books much more.

Um, I own the audiobook for Wicked Lovely, but haven't listened to it yet, so I can't comment on the narration - but I love the book, and the entire series. Is it too dark for you? It's definitely not a fluffy and light series. Faeries are not all wonderful creatures in her world. In fact, most aren't nice at all - at least from a human's perspective.
Having said that, I'm a big believer in putting books down if you're not enjoying them though, so if Marr's world isn't for you - then let it go - as the series continues with its dark theme.

Believe me, I've read the Fever series and others, and none of them have nice fae either. ;)

Hi so far i think its ok I am about 3/4 done, i really want her to end up with stark, what about you :)
I've got 2 books going, but the PNR I am reading is Deeper by Megan Hart. Very different type of PNR so far and the jury is still out on whether or not I like it. I will say this though, it has me intrigued.

But it made me think of something. I'm about 70 pages in and her car breaks down and when she goes to the mechanic, he's the three "s"es, single, straight and sexy. When people go to the doctor, go to a bar, get pulled over by the police, or get hit on at a supermarket or coffee shop, the guy is always these things and he's usually perfect and ready for a serious relationship. Just once I'd like to get that mechanic, that police office, that bouncer/baretender or that guy at the coffee shop. Why is my mechanic middle aged with a pot belly, a wife and always a little smelly and a lot sweaty (and not sexy sweaty either)? Why is my doctor married with pictures of his wife and kids in EVERY exam room? The bouncers and bartenders at every bar I've ever been to may spend the night talking to me when I'm there, but when I leave, there is always someone else, and the last time I was hit on at a coffee shop, I had actually watched him hit on and get shot down by two girls prior to me.
I think I'd pass out if just once the heroine hat to be examined by an ugly doctor!
