Finished Mirror Image
- I enjoyed it, like the way that the characters grow through the seriesNow reading Natural Consequences
Just finished
, first book from a new author, on KU. I loved it. 5 stars. Alien romance with well thought out details about this new world and the alien beings. Chemistry between the MC’s was hot. I very much enjoyed the story.
DemetraP wrote: "I like alien romance, I'll have to give this a try."Let me know what you think after you've read it. Hope you enjoy it.🤞🏻
Currently reading
by Jennifer Blackstream - it’s an interesting UF series with a witch private investigator, and I’m enjoying it. This is book 2.
@Treena: I loved Choosing Theo. I really enjoyed this book. There are funny moments and hot moments and the hero Theo was just delightful. Grumpy, convinced heroine is a spy, but attracted to her in spite of his doubts.
I went to go find more books by this author and it turns out this is her first book. Book 2, featuring the hero's brother is scheduled for July 2020.
I'm hoping the hero's best friend gets a book too.
Anyway if you like alien romances read this book.
Finished a few books from some of my favorite not as well known authors.... I greatly enjoyed both.
Reading and kind of dreading
Just finished NightPiercer - 4.5 stars for me, and I will by the next book after I finish Choosing Theo

Grumpy, convinced heroine is a spy, but..." Well I'm sad to say Choosing Theo was DNF for me. I love a grumpy Hero but I struggled with h, and the Telling. I I gave up around 65%...might try another day.
Finished Natural Consequences
- Exciting story some hot scenes but some sex scenes were a little lengthy and distracted from the main story lineAlso read Heartache
- Lots of action, draw back was ending on a big cliff hangerNow reading Underdark
I read Wrong by Jana Aston. About to graduate college student finds out the hot guy at her coffee shop every Tuesday is a gynecologist. Then they start dating.Warning this one is very hot and has lots of dirty talk by the hero.
BJ wrote: "Well I'm sad to say Choosing Theo was DNF for me. I love a grumpy Hero but I struggled with h, and the Telling. I I gave up around 65%...might try another day."It's totally okay BJ. We all like different things! Cheers! 😊
Finished Dungeon at War
- It wrapped up the seriesAlso read Quantum
- Ok, not interesting enough for me to continue the seriesThe Search for Splurt
- Entertaining with some humorous momentsHow to Break an Undead Heart
- Enjoyable, looking forward to where the series goesNow reading Trying Times
I have been soaking up books during SIP and have totally forgotten to come here and update.I have been loving the Lucy Kincaid series, starting with
and am now ready for book 14,
. If you like the In Death series, you will find it similar. It follows one couple and is centered around the FBI. I am taking a quick break to read
because I have really enjoyed this series too and this is the last of three books.
I'm re-reading the New Species series by Laurann Dohner. I'ts a comfort read. Guys find their mates and live happily ever after.

"Such a good series. *sigh* Now I may need to read them again.
Finished Double or Nothing
- This series has its ups and downs, this is one of the better books in the seriesNow reading Death March
Pamela wrote: "What book(s) are you reading right now? PNR or otherwise. ;) If you have a minute, why not talk a little bit about the book? Basic plot, werewolf/vampire/what have you, is it part of a series, etc...."I've been rereading Evangeline Anderson's Brides of the Kindred. If you haven't already read it. I recommend it. It is science fiction with paranormal elements such as Blood Kindred (vampires) twin kindred whose body parts merge for a menage with a bit of shape shifting when they go into "Rage". It's not the usual paranormal but I thought it might fit here. If not, I apologize.
I'm currently reading:1. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang The Kiss Quotient
2. Packaged Husband by Noelle AdamsPackaged Husband
3. Mageborn by Jessica Thorne Mageborn
Finished this month: 1. To seduce a dragon by Poppy Rhys To Seduce a Dragon- was great
2. Saltlands by Elizabeth Stephens -Saltlands: An Interracial Post-Apocalyptic SciFi Romance -finally a HEA in this 2nd book of the series
3. Engaging the Boss by Noelle AdamsEngaging the Boss -Just lovely to read-I enjoyed every second
I'm re-reading for 3rd or 4th time, Moon Called and once again loving it, and will read the whole series. I've had a run of 1 and 2 star books recently, so I just go back to my super star authors like Patricia Briggs. Then I might move onto Kate Daniels series.

Actually a reread of Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews. Then I will be reading the next book in the Guildex Code series by Annette Marie. It comes out tomorrow. 💖👏
BJ, I also just reread the Mercy series. 2nd time around. Every time I get to reread a series I get to the Last book and get mad because I have to wait for the new book in the series. Since I'm stuck in the house, I get to reread some of the series that I really enjoy.1. Faith Hunter: Jane Yellowrock
I *finally* finished
It was okay, but how can a book that is so long feel unfinished and that there wasn't one true plot throughout? Now I'm reading my Kindle First selection from last month
I just finished a re-read of
by Emily Mayer. It's a slowburn sweet and low-angst contemporary romance. I really love it! It's on KU. And I needed a book to get me out of a DNF or 1-star book rut and this took care of that "unsatisfactory" string of meh-or-bad reads.
In the last months I've enjoyed some good reads despite somekind of "quarantine mood" (it's been 4 months in my country) that didn't let me focus in the stories at the beginning.
Most of the books I finished are part of the Paranormal Women's Fiction series, like
(3.7 stars),
(3 stars),
(4),
(4,3),
(4.5),
(4),
(3.5),
(3) and
(3.7).Also read
(4 stars),
(4.4),
(4.2),
(4 stars),
(4.3),
(4.6). Loved
,
and
.Finally, re-read the first six books of Darynda Jones´ Charlie Davidson series.
