I do like audiobooks but it was recommended to listen to this one, instead of reading it. Trevor is doing a great job with the narration. I'm only about 2 hours in and it's heartbreaking (and funny too) listening to him recount his childhood.

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) reading and devouring Vampire Mage (Clutch Mistress, #1) by Janelle Peel

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 398 comments Mitabird, Trevor is such a gem and the best is yet to come for you yet. I'm at the back end with only a few hours left so I'm dragging it out now.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments Finished After the Storm (KGI, #8) by Maya Banks The First Cut (Doctors of Darkness, #3) by Ellery A. Kane

Now I'm reading an advanced copy of Summoned to Thirteenth Grave (Charley Davidson, #13) by Darynda Jones ... I'm having a hard time just sitting down to read it though since I know it's the last book of the series and I don't want it to be over!! I can't let go of Reyes apparently .... I'd assume there would be potential for a spin-off focused around Beep though, but it wouldn't be the same.... but we'd have Osh at least....

message 37914: by Jim (new)

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments Finished Summoned to Thirteenth Grave (Charley Davidson, #13) by Darynda Jones ... it was okay, but I didn't care for the ending ... it didn't feel like an ending. But it definitely left me thinking what I already suspected... that there is a spin-off series coming.

I finished Deception and it was better than Ascension. I struggled with it about the first half of the book but it got a lot better and I'm looking forward to the next one - 4 stars

I also listened to Charlotte's Web Charlotte's Web by E.B. White . I had never read this before and it really hit me emotionally. It was unexpected and I can see why it's a classic - 5 stars

I'm taking a break from fantasy and plan on reading The Face of Deception The Face Of Deception (Eve Duncan, #1) by Iris Johansen .

Jim | 121 comments Finished The Midnight Line (Jack Reacher, #22) by Lee Child The Midnight Line - 4 star, not all the Reacher stories are this good, but this one follows the formula that I enjoy with an underlying mystery and plausible action

Also read Game Master by D.H. Sidebottom Game Master - 4 star, an interesting premise, an underlying mystery, and imperfect characters

Coincidentally I just finished reading The Midnight Line. I particularly enjoyed it because he acknowledges the complicated issues around his main topic - too many times people just see it as black and white. But it stays within the "find a problem, fix it, move on" formula that makes Reacher satisfying to read.

Yeah, we're in the same boat.
But since Wicked King remained just as awesome as Cruel Prince (at least for me) I'm rather confident this year of waiting will be worth it as well ;D

DemetraP | 379 comments I love this book. I'm 3/4 of the way through but it's the weekend so I wanted everyone to know about it.

She is in the military, he is also in the military. They meet on the first day of training/try outs for the Delta Force unit, an elite unit in the American military.

You get a really cool story of both of them going through Delta Force stuff/ missions, training, etc.

And the romance is also amazing. It's hot, it's sweet, they fall in love, all while in the military.
