What are you reading right now?

Finished Magic Bites. On to re-readin..." I love Ilona Andrews,! I was just checking and saw she had three more books for this series that i need to catch up on.

I really liked all the OPS series - but they seemed to stall abruptly - Its gotta be a year since I read them and haven't seen any new ones yet :( I really liked her King of Prey series which is 6 books - it was a different "animal" - i've not read anything like it - you may like it too.

I finished this and I didn't love it. I liked it but my rating was generous. I didn't like some of the decisions made by Kate & Curran, nor how the story unfolded - 3.5 stars
I also listened to Blood Bound

I'm halfway done with Crown of Midnight

I just started listening to Three Dark Crowns

I won't though!

- really strong, sassy heroine. Cant wait for the next one.

- such a funny awkward word vomit FMC loved these!

- interesting storyline and hilarious FMC

- this whole series was fun and interesting. I came upon it accidentally when I read

- Her Cherry has to be the funniest raunchiest humor book I have ever read. His Banana comes first but the second one is really a one click for sure, so funny.

- this series was something else, 5 books so far RHN. Its not for a weak stomach the cover itself is very descriptive of whats going to happen in it. The story was great!
These have been my favorites so far this month!

Thanks Tiera! Those look really good.
Queen Takes Knight is free!
I see mixed reviews on The Queen's Poisoner. How did you rate it?

[bookcover:City of Demons|400..."
So on the Queens Poisoner it was unlike what I normally read but I loved it and gave it 5 stars. Great Character depth, great emotion, great world building, and intrigue but its very subtle. The MC is an 8 year old boy. I thought it was great but if you like more fast paced action packed stuff then it may seem a little slow plot wise but I just loved it, If your into audio the narrator is really great. I ended up doing a mix of narration and just reading and I felt she did an excellent job.

Now I'm reading an old anthology ...

I'm not really in the mood for anything right now--too much on my plate, and stress is amazing. (Nine days evacuated away from home, courtesy of Florence, plus was getting the house ready to go on the market before she made her U.S. debut, so the clean-up--as minor as mine is--is adding to that stress. I really want to go somewhere and sleep for a week or two, three at the max.) So, when I get in one of "these" moods, I pull out some of my old tried and trues for a re-read. Gil McNeil is always good for when you are feeling stressed. I'm currently reading A Good Year for the Roses for about the 10th time. But I'm struggling even with this. It's taken me 2 days to reach page 143 when normally I'd read the entire book (263 pgs) in a couple of hours. Ah well, things will eventually get better and I'll find something new to read and then I'll take off and make my reading goal for the year (365 books). And if I don't make it, that's OK too.

You're in my prayers. Don't stress over not getting much reading done. Reading it supposed to relax you. You'll get there when you get there.

I just started listening to Three Dark Crowns

I finished both books. Crown of Midnight picked up around the 70% mark and I plan on reading the next - 4 stars
Three Dark Crowns was not good. It had an interesting premise but was poorly executed and exceedingly boring. I will not be continuing with this series - a generous 2 stars
I've decided to listen to Iron Kissed

ETA: Apparently I dnf'd Iron Kissed back in 2012 at the 38% mark. I wonder what will happen this time, since I'm listening instead.

I keep wanting Ilium to get a book or Aodhan. I like Raphael and Elena but the secondary characters are more interesting at the moemnt.

I agree ... I've been waiting for Illium's book! Don't take me not liking this new one too badly.... I've been getting bored with Raphael and Elena ... I thought this one had all the making of the emotional reads that I love, but it really wasn't the tearjerker I was hoping for. It also ends on a big cliffhanger....

Now I'm reading

Then I read

I also read

I read

I am currently reading

I've since read... no skimmed through

Also, a heartwrenching little shortie

And seriously, if you haven't read

Currently finishing up this shortie

I'm enjoying the medical knowledge of the author. It shows. Just like White Trash Zombie where the author was a morgue tech. lol I saw 1 star reviews for If Angels Burn cos it was too graphic with the gore. As in reality, as it is. That's just fucking sad. lol
My only concern (and shock to be honest) was I saw the author does Christian fiction. As an atheist that does concern me some. But at 50% I have not felt religion shoved down my throat at all.

I've come to the conclusion that this series is not for me. While I find the stories mildly interesting, I don't care for the characters. I'm not sure how I like how the ending was handled, either - 2.5 stars.
Not sure what I'm going to listen to next but I am currently reading Heir of Fire

sorry to see this, I love Mercy's world! Happy reading on your next book :)

I love this series!!!! Nero and Leda are 🔥

I love this series!!!! Nero and Leda are 🔥"
I totally agree, Treena, and Nero and Leda have probably become one of my top favorite UF couples. Now that I'm caught up on this series, I'm anxious for the next book to come out, can't wait.
I actually found out about the series on this thread - can't remember now who originally recommended it, but am thankful for the great rec.

How does this have so many high ratings? The best thing about it so far is that it is the original source of a (although now questionably) great TV show. A prime example of a great premise that IMO has been badly executed. Has anyone else here read any of these comics?

Then read

I am now struggling through
