Magnus Iskander Reim (magnusiskanderreim) | 32 comments Just finished Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller It's a retelling of Achilles' life from the pov of this life-long partner, Patroclus. And if you know your Iliad, you KNOW that is going to be heart wrenching. And man, it was.

It's one of the only books I've read that is actually about LOVE and not lust or infatuation.

I hadn't cried so hard on a book since a while. Read it. Cry. Be happy. Love Greeks.

Claudia Ayala (claudia_ayala) | 149 comments In the last months I´ve re-read a lot!
Also, I enjoyed Archangel's Viper (Guild Hunter, #10) by Nalini Singh , Cherish Hard (Hard Play, #1) by Nalini Singh , Devil in Spring (The Ravenels, #3) by Lisa Kleypas , Twist (Dive Bar, #2) by Kylie Scott , The Sea King (Weathermages of Mystral, #2) by C.L. Wilson , Newsletter Exclusives Volume 1 by Nalini Singh and Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass, #6) by Sarah J. Maas .
I really liked The Fire Between High & Lo (Elements, #2) by Brittainy C. Cherry but was a little disappointed with The Silent Waters (Elements, #3) by Brittainy C. Cherry , it wasn’t as good as the first two books of the series.

Finished Safe Harbour by Danielle Steel and Darker (Fifty Shades as Told by Christian, #2) by E.L. James . I wasn't impressed.

Loved The Trouble with Twelfth Grave (Charley Davidson, #12) by Darynda Jones , The Emperor of Evening Stars (The Bargainer, #2.5) by Laura Thalassa and Blood Fury (Black Dagger Legacy, #3) by J.R. Ward .

I know what you mean, Demetra. I stopped reading the series when Anita had a lover strangle her. The later books have an audience, but for me, the earlier books are amazing. I started reading them when I picked up Burnt Offerings, and read it in one day. Then I went down to Another Change of Hobbit and got her back list. Started buying her in hard cover for a while.

Claudia Ayala (claudia_ayala) | 149 comments I just finished Treasure of the Abyss (The Kraken, #1) by Tiffany Roberts . It was a little strange, about a girl and a man-octupuss. I thought I wouldn't like it, but was curious because so many people are reading it. I couldn't put it down and I gave it 4 stars. I'll be waiting for the next book in the series.

This whole series is very well written. Even FM fans could enjoy it.
Worth a peek at the covers at least.

Jenni, I'm so glad someone has mentioned T. S. Joyce. I LOVE her books and have read all the Damons Mountains sub series. If you haven't read those, do but in chronological order or you will spoil the overarching story. There is definitely a set formula to every single one of them, but most of her characters and their various quirks make it work really well for me. I do tend to both laugh and cry every time I pick up one of her books, and have become quite fond of some shifter types (Bears and Gorillas) that I would never have without her stories. I love the fact that she has included many different types of animals in her world, especially the felines as the big cats are the top of my list.

Am saving up the Outlaw Shifters series until it's complete, as I do with most of the series that I read.

Her Wolves of Winter's Edge Trilogy I also read, which I felt was darker and more suspenseful than Damons Mountains. Overall I think T. S. Joyce is a highly recommended PR writer.
