What are you reading right now?

Ward does have horrible female characters. They are just there to prop up the men and show how badass they are.

Currently into Sherrylin Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, on book 5

A debut novel, Dark Soul contains some common mistakes often made by new authors, but the story was very promising and I find myself looking forward to reading more by this author.

Audible has the Rock Chick series in audio Arielle. If your a member they are $1.99

I'm reading

Good to know Cmkage. I have the first one on my kindle so I added it to my ASAP shelf.

I love the Dark Hunter series as well Kayleigh.

I have to say, I'm glad I didn't read the last page like I normally do, since I would regret not reading this book
Kudos to Ward though; she's got guts doing that, and the way she executed it was well done (I'm not as mad as I would be if it was by an author who I don't consider a favorite of mine...loyalty I guess?)
And I can't wait for Paradises' book!
Now rereading

Now I'm reading

Thank you!

I've read this

I don't know about the one you're reading though (but it's in my TBR), but she's a great author, and if you're not feeling that series, maybe you should try her other ones :)

I'm reading

I heard there is a big cliffy at the end of this one so I am waiting until the third one comes out to finish the series. Great writing.

Now reading

It came out last week :)

Hi Shari,
I quite like her work. I already read her Hearts & Thrones series. But, I like Fire Seers more because the plots are thicker. I feel that there is more depth to the characters in this series. She gives more detail of the past experience of the characters which leads to their decision and behavior. I really enjoy reading them and finished fairly quickly.

A bunch of my friends are obsessing over

Started reading

Already finished

Loved that series! Don't forget to read

And her Paladin series, which is kind of connected (especially one of the later books)

Then I started (and finished) the frist two books of the UF series "Penryn and the End of Days" Angelfall , loved it.
I have opened J.R.Ward's The Shadows , but that's as far as I got for now. Need to keep reading but don't have enough time these days :(

Hope you e..."
I love this series, too. The plot keeps getting better with each book. Can´t wait for

For now, I think I won’t continue with the next trilogy; I’m not a fan of Dani and I think the story ended well as it did.
Now I’m looking for what to read next, so I´m checking some of your reviews to get some ideas. ;)

AAHHH!!! Enjoy it Sophie! One of my favorite series

This is what is strange to me. Readers are upset about the ending of BDB #13, yet it wasn't un-expected. She foreshadowed since that character had been introduced. Also, why aren't her readers more upset that, with the exception of a few, the women in this series are set pieces to show how layered and human the men are and if she has the 'balls' to do _that_ which she has done to TWO lead female characters she has not done with any of the male lead characters.
I'm not trying to call out Kimberly, I apologize if it appears that way. A lot of people do not like the book because of the ending and it seems there are other factors to be critical of, in my opinion, than the lack of the standard/expected romance ending.
Interestingly enough, JR Ward has admitted her lack of ability to write female characters and I'm more upset she didn't take the chance to make a stronger, more interesting female lead by swapping what happened to the female to happen to the male...y'know?
Also, she wrote a vlog on GR explaining what happened in the book was something that happened IRL and I think she was explaining that she was dealing with that RL stuff in her DBD-verse and I can respect that.
