Christine | 1127 comments Finished The Royal Ranger (Ranger's Apprentice, #12) by John Flanagan and really enjoyed it. It's not necessary to enjoy the series, but it was a nice revisit to the series and brings some things full circle.

Also finished Ensnared (Splintered, #3) by A.G. Howard . I really enjoyed this book, but I'm not sure how I feel about the ending.

Christine | 1127 comments I finished listening to Born in Ice (Born In Trilogy, #2) by Nora Roberts which was my first romance for the year and I think a good choice because I really enjoyed it. So I've moved right along to Born in Shame (Born In Trilogy, #3) by Nora Roberts . And that makes another series I'm actually finishing this year!

I'm also reading Blood of Dragons (Witch Fairy, #7) by Bonnie Lamer which I'm not enjoying nearly as much as the previous books in the series.

Christine | 1127 comments Back to Raging Star (Dust Lands, #3) by Moira Young . I'm making myself finally finish this trilogy before picking up Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega, #4) by Patricia Briggs which keeps calling to me.

In audio, I just started The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld, #4) by Gena Showalter . I'm not always in a romance mood, so I'm going to run with it while it lasts.

I hated the first book in that series, but most of the rest were really good. This was one of those times where giving a series a second chance was actually worth it. Loved Jagr.

Jagr's book was the highlight of the series for me. I think I even teared up at the end. I still have to read the newest release before the next one comes out in May.

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Finished Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega, #4) by Patricia Briggs . Those are such well written books. My husband is enjoying it now.

2/3 of the way through Until the End of the World (Until the End of the World #1) by Sarah Lyons Fleming . Cant decide how I feel about this book. There's too much inane banter for me but I still want to see what happens. How it ends will help me decide whether to continue on to the next book.

I've just started Dead Heat and I'm instantly reminded of how much I enjoy her writing. It's like sitting down with an old friend and feeling right at home.

message 34892: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I finished Raging Star (Dust Lands, #3) by Moira Young and I'm just not sure what to make of this trilogy. The writing itself is good, and there were moments in it that I just loved, but then there were these other moments that were boring or didn't make sense. I'm glad I had the experience of reading the books, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend them. Although there is a lot in the series that I think would be great for group discussion. And here I find another book in which I wish I had skipped those last few pages. (view spoiler)

Irene (irenemikhaylova) | 478 comments Finally finished listening to Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison - it was soooooo slooooooow, I was going to give up on it several times. It's not right when skipping 20 minutes of bed scene makes the book bearable. I'd say the pace picked up only when she was kidnapped by the Dark Elves and it was in 3 last hours. So not going to listen to the next audiobook, maybe I would read it.

Started listening to One Night of Sin (Knight Miscellany, #6) by Gaelen Foley
