And it disturbs me that she's not even 18 yet and he's waiting for her birthday. Um, gross! This goes back to my distaste for the manwhore trope as well.

Just finished the first book in the Bo Blackman series "Dire Straits" and now I'm onto "New Order" Definitely a gritty series and I am so in love with it. I can't even put my finger on exactly why right now but I don't want to put it down and I have to because children need feeding and bathing and reading to. They are lucky they are so adorable!

I enjoyed it a lot! Finished in two days :)

Got back to listening to - kinda slow at this point. Especially for an audiobook. Started reading after finishing reading . The latter was a bit jumbled and not very logical. And I am seriously thinking of dropping the series.

It started a bit strange (probably because I don't remember all the details from the previous book) but after app. 80 pages (out of app. 350) it is starting to get interesting. I do hope Lena doesn't get in too much trouble ;)

I thought I'd go back and read A Sicilian Romance by Ann Radcliffe, but I can't get into it. Perhaps I'm finding it hard because it was written in 1790. I don't know. While I generally love reading old books, it's very slow and I'm finding the old prose convoluted. The other book I'm reading at the moment is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. OMG, I am only a couple of pages in and already I love it.

Have you tried Amanda Quick Georgia? She goes by a few other names but when she writes as Quick it's historical romance and they are fabulous!
