Tracy | 53 comments I love audios Jenny. Started them when I had to sit in traffic forever. They helped with the frustration. It took a while but now I can't lice without them. There are many narrators that can pull off multiple voices on a book. It's really cool. Lorelei King (she does the Stephanie Plum and Charlie Davidson series) is amazing. You should try them sometime when your doing housework or driving.

message 34202: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Schwartz (jenny_schwartz) Maybe when driving. When I'm doing housework, my mood isn't the best :) Then again, maybe I should listen to funny books ;)

I know. Although I loved the Night Huntress series I didn't really like the last book in the series so it kind of made me a bit weary to read The Beautiful Ashes. And usually I almost always finish a book even if I don't like it so I felt a bit bad for not finishing The Beautiful Ashes.

It's worth a shot Jenny. It makes my housework go by quickly.

I really hate not finishing a book as well Michaela and it takes a lot of misery for me to do that. I was disappointed with Beautiful Ashes though. I did like all the Night Huntress books and wasn't ready for the series to end.

I love Shannon K. Butcher. If you like Running Scared, the rest of the series is equally good (if not a little better...I liked Running Scared a lot, but it was still my least favorite of the series.)

I love C.L. Wilson, and she's finally written one since the Tairen series, which i loved. This one is way hotter then her normal writing but her plot and characters are always spot on.

Yes it is, and it's also a bit more denser than a Tairen book, but that's not a complaint :) Now I can't wait for the second book, since the character that's going to be the hero seems so intriguing!

message 34220: by Claudia (new)

Claudia Ayala (claudia_ayala) | 149 comments I loved Archangel's Shadows (Guild Hunter, #7) by Nalini Singh . Can´t believe that I have to wait for months to get the new book.

Finished Ilona Andrews's The Edge Series: On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews , Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2) by Ilona Andrews , Fate's Edge (The Edge, #3) by Ilona Andrews and Steel's Edge (The Edge, #4) by Ilona Andrews . I really enjoyed them. The authors built a very complex, magic and violent word, filled with imagination and attractive characters. Only with the third book I had some trouble at the beginning.

Also read their new book Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy, #1) by Ilona Andrews and I loved it. After some reviews, I expected something between Kate Daniels and The Edge. But this new magic world is less complex… easier to read. Looking forward for the next book.

Is her new series going to follow just one couple or does each main character change per book, like The Edge series?

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Well after having this book for OVER a year (which is when I started to read it lol). I have now finished the amazing and interesting The Heartstone Odyssey - Arvan Kumar. You have to read this book.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished All the Paths of Shadow (Paths of Shadow, #1) by Frank Tuttle it was pretty fantastic. Meralda (the main character) has a plant as a familiar, and its has this wicked sense of humor (it can talk) and it has LOTS of eyes, which weirdly enough i really liked.
also read Steel Lily (Periodic, #1) by Megan Curd which unfortunately wasnt as good, the ending did save it slightly. plus the dystopian and steampunk theme was pretty nifty.
