I'm reading it too and I'm loving it. Nice to see a kick ass woman without her being a ball buster or TSTL.

message 33957: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) Just finished Darkness (New Species, #12) by Laurann Dohner and wow, it was fantastic. I even enjoyed the female MC. Usually I just put up with them for the sake of the story, but Kat was all kinds of amazing.

I just finished too! I agree that Kat is amazing! I love Kat for Darkness. She would not have been good with anyone else like Justice or Moon, but is perfect for Darkness.

What's up with Trey? I was hoping the next story would be about him or Flame and Amanda. Not that I mind about Smiley...first primate new species to get a mate...can't wait!

Christy (christy_kennedy) | 184 comments Okay, so I thought I was going to read The Guardian (Dream-Hunter, #5; Were-Hunter, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , but I changed my mind. Not really in the mood for tortured souls at this moment. I'll come back to it later.

Decided to move on to Book 1 of the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh - Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh . I've heard a lot of good things about this series. Love her Psy/Changling series.

I have no idea, but darned if I'm not curious! I have been itching for Flame's story since he was first introduced. Vengeance though, I am dying for his story. At first I didn't like him, but when he opened up, I fell in love. Plus, the little excerpt about him from her website. Wow!

Oh wow Denise, I was lucky to have read many really good ones since I really enjoyed all except for The Coldest Girl In Coldtown I really didn't care for this one by the end of the book. The beginning was so good, and then meh, went nowhere. But my absolute favorite read from the bunch was Heir Of Fire what a fantastic book! The whole series so far is awesome!

I read the novellas only after I finished book 2 and before reading book 3 and I loved them. They brought so much to the overall story so I think they're definitely worth the read Denise. But I don't think it matters when you read them. At least not to me :)

Yup Pippa, agreed. Not necessary in order to make sense of the story but they're very interesting and brought a lot to the story so if you can get them I recommend reading them at some point, they're really good. They give us insight into Celeana's life in the mines in her assassin journey :)

Irene (irenemikhaylova) | 478 comments Finished reading Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas - it was very depressing for the most part. I expect my romances to be light reading, not full of mental and physical abuse (both by a husband and a boss). I had to skip at least 60 pages to get to the part where she was with her family again. So to get rid of the aftertaste I read Affair by Amanda Quick - I enjoy JAK and her books are good for relaxation and forgetting about everything.

Started reading Devil's Bride (Cynster, #1) by Stephanie Laurens .

Amac | 39 comments Over half-way through Falling Blind (Sentinel Wars, #7) by Shannon K. Butcher which I thought I would quickly read-through since I want to read Torr and Grace's book. I wasn't expecting much since the last two books in the series were OK. Poor Cain. I hope Rory comes around in the best way possible.

I just finished Born of Ice (The League, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and it started off good but the ending and all the convenient wrap up of everything kind of felt forced. I like 'The League' world, though. I'm going to keep reading to catch up and finally read her current books

Can anyone recommend the reading order for Kenyon's other series? A link or something? Different book stores/sites have different numbers and I guess some books are spinoff(s) of a series? Ah!!

I would go to her website. I did find this reading list there
http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/wp-con...

Some people read the Dark/Were/Dream Hunter books as separate series, but I read them all together in the order she has listed.

Have you read her Dark Hunter series yet? That started it all for me. Also love The League. Just finished Born of Fury and I already want the next book.
