From the Men in Black reference, I'm guessing you're referring to Alien Research (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #8) by Gini Koch and not the Icebound Land? In which case, Kitty is one of those characters you either love or hate, or have to be in just the right mood to handle. I read the first book in the series around the same time as the first Charley Davidson book, and Kitty is like a smarter, much more well-adjusted Charley. There's a lot of snark and jokes, but if you're in the right mood it's a lot of fun. And I like that Kitty is very smart and figures things out logically, rather than just falling into a solution or having the answer dumped in her lap. Some of the running gags in the series do get a little old (I think it was book four or five that nearly made me quit reading the series), but she seems to have toned that down in recent books.

Christine | 1127 comments I listened to Croak (Croak, #1) by Gina Damico Scorch (Croak, #2) by Gina Damico & Rogue (Croak, #3) by Gina Damico all in a row and I really enjoyed this series. Although, I will say that some of the humor in the third one felt forced and Uncle Mort went from awesome to mildly annoying at times. But all in all, it was a good series and I actually liked how the author decided to wrap it all up.

Now I'm on to How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back (White Trash Zombie, #4) by Diana Rowland . Yeah.

In print, I am really loving The Battle for Skandia (Ranger's Apprentice, #4) by John Flanagan

Same here. I've reread NS's books so many times. But I think Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series is awesome too.

I just finished Pia Saves the Day (Elder Races, #6.6) by Thea Harrison . Liked it but cliff hanger for the next novella. Luckily that's being released this month.

Trying to figure out what to read next.

I started A Discovery of Witches a few months ago but I only got like, 10% through it before I gave up reading it because it was a bit boring. I've heard a lot of people say it gets better after the first hundred pages or so and I've always wanted to give it another chance :) So I think I'll pick it up again sometime in the future.

I'm finishing Night Reigns (Immortal Guardians, #2) by Dianne Duvall and I like it even more than the first book :) Marcus is cute <3 In the first book I was so sure that Ami will end up with Seth and thought that it was a little too bovious ;) And I think 3-d and 4-th are already out. Fifth will be out in September.

Also finished reading Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione - it was awsome!

Started listening to The Lady Most Willing... A Novel in Three Parts by Julia Quinn and A Wild Pursuit (Duchess Quartet, #3) by Eloisa James .

I thought Prince of Wolves was just okay. I liked it but didn't really love it or find anything special about it. Although after I finished it I read the blurb's of the next few books (only because I didn't think I wanted to continue the series, but was curious about the story so I didn't mind the spoilers) and I think the series is one of those that get's better with every book because the blurb's of the next few sound a lot more exciting than the first book did.

message 33587: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) @Christy - I've read all of the Psy-Changeling books (loved most of them) and decided to read Guild Hunter. It's a different style of book series since it's more UF than PNR, but I really enjoyed it.

Christy I love the Archangel series but I do have to say that they are dark, compared to the psy changling series. It is all so a continuous series mostly centred around Raphael and Elena with one or two other star characters getting their own story. Like I said, I loved the series, and can't wait for the latest one to be release, so I can read them all over again.

I also finished Ghouls Rush In (Peyton Clark, #1) by H.P. Mallory which was great, Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy by Karen Foxlee which I read with my son and he loved. I've started Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day which is pretty good and listening to Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews

Paranormal Click (paranormalclick) | 24 comments Just started Denying Ecstasy (The Guardians of the Realms, #3) by Setta Jay LOVING this series. HOT erotic paranormal romance with plot! Dirty talk and alpha males, all different types of creatures and mythology. I'm groaning at having to wait till sept for the next one and don't want this one to end. The first book had some typos, but the writing and plot is just getting better as it goes. So happy I one clicked. It was on sale and I saw it on one of the blogs I stalk. Think the first two might still be on sale, I even read the short story that was free.
