I've just started both of them. I got about 4 chapters of "Beyond the Veil" in last night before I went to bed, so far, so good. Sparrow Hill Road, I just started about an hour ago. It's a bit different than my norm, but I can keep you posted. I mostly picked it up because I love Seanan McGuire series.

Finished and found it a bit slower than but thats typical for a second book. Lots of talk about the history and logistics of the scribes, Irin, etc. Look forward to the next book later this year.

I finally finished Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley. I really liked it and gave it 4 stars. We moved in April and starting to get settled in now, so I'm getting some of my reading time back. I'm currently reading Bound by Night by Larissa Ione.

Started three PNR series after taking a break from the genre:

Blood of the Wicked - I was more interested in the world, what the carousel must look like? and the ramifications of the trench disaster than the characters :-/

Born of Night - started off great but kind of went all over the place with introducing new subplots/character archy-stuff towards the end. Def reading the next book tho

Burning Alive - really, really exercising determination so I wont abandon this book. I'm not a fan of the 'truth/info/feelings omission to make you agree to get with me' trope unless the character is explicitly a baddie, y'know?

Cant wait for Shield of Winter!

Amac....being a big fan of The Sentinel Wars series....try a couple more of the series. The first book was not the best. By the time you get to book 4 you are reading a really fantastic story.

I am around, just not been reading much as I have had a bad case of thinking I liked a book and it turned out I didn't. Then there is my eldest son who wanted to move to Scotland and now isn't and my fridge/freezer blowing up and having to fork out £100 (GBP) for a new fridge lol.

I just finished Suza Kates Vengeance of a Witch the 8th book in a 9 part series. Each book centers around one of the witches in the Savannah Coven and their individual trial. Without giving too much away each book contains lots of adventure, love and each witch has her own cat with its own personality.

I just started reading . I read the first book of the series about two years ago, so I have a hard time remembering this world.
