Kushiel's series is amazing...the audiobooks were exquisite bc of the French accent.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I finished Shadow Highlander (Dark Sword, #5) by Donna Grant , but was a bit disapointed ... I found it to be kind of dull. Then I decided to switch gears and get my smut on ... read Friends with Benefits (Vault, #1) by Anne Lange , which was pretty good for the kind of book it is.

I'm about to start book 4, but I can't say/spoil what was introduced in book 3, but 4 does have a Sem demon's story. None of the main character names in the 5th book I looked up are in the 3rd, so...I dunno if more Sem demons are up for the continuing LOD stories

That's interesting! I just assumed Ione would work her way around the hospital, pairing off the different employees in subsequent books once the Sem brothers found their mates. But if there is a whole new cast of characters... now I'm intrigued to see what direction the series takes!

I was just going to say what Amac says. That the characters for book 4 & 5 come up in book 3. I personally prefer the LOD series over Demonica and the set up for that series occurs at the end of book 5.

I thought the first was also slow and there was some repetition in the writing that bugged me, but I think it improves with each book. Of course, I listened to the series on audio narrated by Kristine Hvam (who is awesome) so I don't know how much that influenced my enjoyment of the series.

Jane Yellowrock series gets better. Readers kept talking about it so I got the first book. Beast just got on my nerves a bit. Jane and Beast evolve into a kick ass duo...even humorous at times.

I had the same issue with Kate Daniels...it took me 2 attempts to do book 1. I would have missed out if I didn't stick with it!

Victoria Tara, please do yourself a favor with Immortals After Dark
If you stick with it (and you will) you need to start with Warlord Wants Forever in the book title "Playing Easy to Get". Read in this order:
Immortals After Dark (IAD)
1 Warlord Wants Forever
2 A Hunger Like No Other
3 No Rest for the Wicked
4 Wicked Deeds on
a Winter's Night
5 Dark Needs at
Night's Edge
6 Dark Desires After Dusk
7 Kiss of a Demon King
8 Untouchable
(Deep Kiss of Winter)
9 Pleasure of a Dark Prince
10 Demon from the Dark
11 Dreams of a Dark Warrior
12 Lothaire
13 MacRieve
You won't be disappointed :0). Happy Reading.

The Warlord Wants Forever is its own book now :) The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole When I first started the series I too read No Hunger Like No Other first and then found out about The Warlord Wants Forever that was still part of the anthology Easy To Get so I had to buy the anthology in order to read it hahaha. Pat aka Tygyr (tygyr) | 69 comments To finish one of January's challenges I am reading exclusively until I finish Savior (A Higher Collective Novel) by Jennifer Malone Wright .
I have started the following Breakers (Breakers, #1) by Edward W. Robertson , Crimson Night (Night, #1) by Marie Hall , Logan's Acadian Wolves (Immortals of New Orleans, #4) by Kym Grosso I am loving this series, The Silent Duchess by Dacia Maraini ,and Cupid's Love Potion Mystery of the Golden Arrow (Paranormally Yours, #2) by Barbara Ivie Green . Most I'll finish in February some time. I like reading a variety and if a book really grabs me I'll read more of it than the others and finish it earlier. LOGAN'S ACADIAN WOLVES will probably be one since I read the earlier books quickly as well.
For some reason some of the covers appeared in doubles, I hope I got everything fixed.
