I love Eve and the whole supporting cast. Peabody, Feeney, Summerset, Mavis. And Roarke, of course. In some of the books it's the interaction between them that really makes the book, while other books are better for the mystery.

Hats off to J D Robb (Nora Roberts, of course) for being able to write so many books in this series and still keep it new, exciting, romantic...love the chemistry between Roarke & Eve and always the mystery/murder to be solved.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments Ok I just finished Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward I thought it was a vast improvement over the previous two installments! But I liked the first half of the book better than the later half. The whole thing with Layla and the young kept me riveted in the early parts of the book and I loved when Phury found out! But I felt I got a bit distracted with all the secondary storylines that were brewing especially later on in the book. It slowed the momentum for me and I didn't care for the Luchas twist....but oh well. It was still a good book and I loved the ending.

Now I'm reading an Advanced Copy of That Old Flame of Mine by J.J. Cook

I read the first book from The Lords of Deliverance series and it was very good. Planning on reading book 2 soon. The Demonica series will always have a special place in my heart especially the first book. Love E! So if i were just comparing book 1 of Demonica to book 1 of LoD, Demonica would win out as the better series. However, I think that by the end of the next book I will be just as invested in Lords of Deliverance as I was in Demonica because the writing is just as strong and the story is quite interesting.

I'm so happy there's another 'world' after Demonica. I have to say, this series is a breath of fresh air! I realised what I love in a good series is that the side characters are as interesting as the main ones, well Demonica didn't disappoint. I love them all!! I think I have a soft spot for Wraith (his dark humour) and Idess (she's very strong!). All of them! Sin's story's very good too!!
This month I also have twice tempted to read and Mercy7!
exciting! ;-)
