Nancy (nancyjcohen) | 74 comments I'm reading The Wedding Dress by Virginia EllisThe Wedding Dress. It's an older story that I plucked from my years long TBR pile. It takes place in the aftermath of the Civil War, where two sisters have lost their husbands. To lift their moods, they plan the wedding of their only unwed sibling even while struggling to maintain their household. Meanwhile, they see the ghosts of soldiers marching past. So far it's holding my interest and I'm wondering where the groom is going to enter the story.

Denise McGee (denise_mcgee) I'm currently wending my way through Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series. I'm on Crouching Vampire, Hidden Fang (Dark Ones, #7) by Katie MacAlister .

Not really impressed with this story, though. I'm very near to chucking it altogether and moving onto the next one.

I just finished both and they are awesome. I'd read them in order of publication. Take this Regret was published first, even though Lost to You occurs first. But I don't think it matters either way. If you start with Lost to You then it's like one continuous story. They will make you cry.

Hmm... good question LOL! I read Take This Regret first since Lost To You wasn't out at that point but now that it is and I read it I went right back into Take This Regret :) so then I guess it makes sense for you to read it that way now too LOL! Read them Lost to You (Take This Regret, # 0.5) by A.L. Jackson and then Take This Regret (Take This Regret, #1) by A.L. Jackson :) this story is wonderful!

message 29088: by Shuling (last edited Feb 27, 2013 07:04AM) (new)

Shuling Okay. I finished it. And closed it with a HUGE grin on my face. I was singing and dancing by the time I reached my kitchen because I had totally forgotten about my dinner. And my mom was staring at me like she saw an alien before snapping out of it and putting two and two together and started lecturing me bout not studying as I am supposed to. But well... :D

message 29089: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Listened to Wuthering Heights - Emily Brontë I don't approve of the nature of what she wrote about, maybe in her days it was ok for the style of writing and what she wrote, but for me it wasn't enjoyable. I tried to conjure up images different to how it was being read, but to be honest, I just couldn't get it out of my mind of how an egotistical and arrogant tyrant who was adopted could turn out to be such a evil person.
