What are you reading right now?

1. Jane True series by Nicole Peeler
2. Indigo Court series Yasmine Galenom
3. The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
4. The Hollow series by Kim Harrison
5. The Blood Ties series by Jennifer Armintrout
6. Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley
7. Alex Craft series by Kalayna Price
My TBR list is very long so it hard to make a decision myself. It helps to hear what others think. Lately, the series I've been reading were good but not great enough to go on my favorite shelf:( I'm feel like I'm stuck between very YA or a book with nothing but sex with no story!! Don't get me wrong I like my mature lusty scenes once in a while but can a girl get an actual plot & romance!!!

Have you tried Kate Daniels? Or The Edge series both by Ilona Andrews? They are a great solid read, and the relationships build up! From the ones youve listed, Ive only read 2 of The Hollow series, but I know people think its a great series and its not sex overload.

Oh and this month I started Kara Gillian series , which is proving to be sooo good. Anita without all the craziness apparantly :)

Hehe I went and looked at your read pile after I posted and thought lol, im preaching to the converted !

Have you read Michelle Mead's Succubus series or her Dark Swan series? I loved both & only stumbled upon them while waiting for releases of her VA series lol I was a tad shocked. I didn't know there was adult PNR & since joining on here I have never had a bad recommendation from these lovely member's. I finished all the Dark Hunter series a month or so ago & will finish the first Lord Of The Underworld tonight. I am utterly upset though....I miss my Dark Hunter's :(

Book Two

I read and write

I hope I didn't commit a sin mentioning that I read outside the genre!

The Hollows is great....

so after I compared books I noticed you had Slammed on there. I only read it last week & it is AWESOME. I find it hard to read YA now I have found this group but this book is well...beautiful. I found it a nice break from PNR, it's YA but not if that makes any sense & no full on sex scenes that are vividly described word for word like in Night Huntress BDB, Dark Hunters. As is Beyond the Highland Mist / To Tame a Highland Warrior

I tend to add any books I haven't read yet to my TBR pile as soon as someone suggests them to me(even before I read the description). Its rare to have a fellow GR friend steer me wrong by a suggestion. I have not tackled KMM's Highlander series yet. I love her Fever Series so I'm move her Highlander series up on my TBR pile :) Sheree & Lorelle please feel free to sent me any recommendations regardless if they're YA or mor MA. I would love any new recommendations, please!

You really liked the Dark Hunters series? I actually listened to the first book on Audible and it just felt short for me. maybe its because I listened to it on Audio. Maybe, I'll give the next book a try!

I LOVE this series. I just finished the fifth (and last one that is out to date) and I am so depressed that I won't get my monthly Chess and Terrible fix. But I hear she is working on a Terrible POV that will *hopefully* be out by Christmas!

I second Lorelle's recommendation of Kara Gillian.
Also have you tried Eileen Wilks

I LOVED the series, there were roughly 3 books that were boring but you still need to read them & I found they got better with each book. I couldn't NOT read them, I was so addicted (still am) but they're so worth it. My friend who nagged me to read them finally won & once I started I couldn't stop & I have passed her as she reads countless series & reads like a machine. Her goal was 200 books this year....she's had to "up" her goal twice now. She is always on challenges & now I'm nagging HER to hurry up & get back to the series. Well it's 12am & I just finished the 1st of Lords of The Underworld & am about to start Guild Hunter 1 & by the time I wake up I'll have to decide which series to buy the second book for

I have read Stacia Kane's series which was good. I have not read Eileen Wilks series. I know its on my TBR list so I'll just have to move that up towards the top! Thanks!

I've read both LOTU & the Guild Hunters series. I enjoyed both series very much for different reasons. If it was me I would stick with the Lords of the Underworld series. I went thru those books like water! I even downloaded them on Audible so I could multi task. I remember being a bit sleep deprived because I couldn't put them down! Either way you decide to go...they're both great series. They were one of the very first series I ever read. My husband says I spend more time with my books than I do with him! He too believes I'm a reading machine and if I'm not with a book in my face than I have ear phones in while cleaning, cooking, or working!

it reminds me of

I LOVED Tairen Soul series, thanks for the input. Already put it in my TBR pile!

I'm now reading

I couldnt get into World of the Lupi, but December is my month of trying the second of books I didnt love, so Maybe I should try

I read the Indigo Court series. Well the first two books because I don't think my library has the third yet, but I enjoyed them. They did have sex, but it didn't really happen all that often and only occurred every now and then. It had a great storyline and plot and I do recommend giving it a shot if you're looking for something dark and edgy.

I love the Dark-Hunters. I stopped reading it and took a break from it. I hope to pick The Dream-Hunter up soon. I don't want to ware out the books plus it's less of a wait for when they release Styxx if I keep reading two or three books then take a break.

I love the Guild Hunter series! I just finished book three about a three days ago. I also read the first two in the Lords of the Underworld series. Even though I love the Lords of the Underworld, I like Guild Hunter a smidge more. Have you tried Showalter's other series, Atlantis? I thought it was a great series the first book is Heart of the Dragon.

Glad to know this, I have it on my list to pick up now I'm excited.

yeah, I didn't get very far into Guild Hunter so I think I am going to do what I do best, start a series & just keep reading until I finish the series. I was trying to concentrate on Guild Hunter but I kept thinking of what would become of the other Warrior's so I think I'll leave Guild Hunter for when I finish LOTU

After reading this post, I will go crazy if I don't start reading Ripple Effect right away......

Half way into it and I've only faced disappointments till now. I admit I expected a lot from this one(ZOMGHOT cover and its predecessors being pretty great and all) but this turned out to be a mindless mash without a proper build of romance with many head-diving and wtf-y moments; male and female leads taking the cup for display of utter trashiness.

I agree! I really liked that book too! I look forward to the next book in the series.

No I haven't read any of her other books, the same friend who insisted I read Dark Hunter insisted I read IOTU. Don't get scared off Dark Hunter by reading Dream Hunter. It was one of my least liked in that series, roughly there's only three "boring" ones but you NEED to keep reading, they all play a role in the books that follow & you need to know the information carefully planted in all books. Guild Hunter's is my next series I will be reading :)
