Allison | 247 comments I just finished Rajmund (Vampires in America, #3) by D.B. Reynolds . I like the series okay, but I feel like she just doesn't know how to end a book, and I'm not talking about the very end where she sets up the next book. It's almost like she just abruptly wraps it up without a good explanation.

I really kiled Thor's story, but I read some mixed reviews about it. I think we can agree that after Vishous' book the series just wasn't the same, right?!

Yeah, my least favorite as well. Didn't really care for how Ward played out Phury's tale. Thought she shortchanged him somehow. I'd come to expect so much more from her and the larger than life plots and situations she weaves for these BDB characters. Oh well guess all of them can't be spectacular :)

But I did LOVE Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward and Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward are my absolute favorites!

Yeah, it doesn't go downhill, just the feel of the series that changes. But there are some good book after that one, like John's and Tohr's.

NOOOOO, not down hill, but like most series, there are hits and missed and with lots of mixed reviews. I loved most of them and always can't wait for the NEXT, especially for Blay & Qhuinn's.

i've see a lot of people who've read Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day seems it's the hype book right now.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Goldingurl, I picked up Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day from the library shelf, then I saw a lot of comparison to Fifty Shades, which I haven't gotten my hands on due to the hype...which lead to long waiting list at the library. Anywho, I'm loving the storyline, the characters have substance and the writing skill's colorful and smart.

I'm so close to finish, can't stall anymore. The last time I read and wanted to remember every phrase was Twilight saga. This was achingly sweet but so deep and filled with so many adversaries, as if vampires and human were any less; still, Gideon and Eva touchable and prompted w real issues. Unfornately, I'll have to wait a yr for my library to get book 2. I'll catch up a couple books and will re-read...for sure in a few weeks.

Actually thinking of buying Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day don't think I can wait 6-8 months for the library to pick it up. Heidi, are you reading the Dark World books between these books? I think it's between either the 3rd & 4th or the 4 & 5 th books. They need to be read in order so you understand events in the other books. Also I found most of the novella's boring apart from the last one , Home for the holiday's or it's called Bite before Christmas. That one was longer & actually really interesting

I agree, the novellas are no where near the greatness the series is!

And definitely read the spin offs series in between, if you don't you won't be lost but all the info in them will really help while reading the next book in the Night Huntress series.

Yeah, I think I will get it since I'm soooo infatuated with Gideon's secrets, success and raw-honest emotion for Eva; Eva's strength, determination and willing to walk away from it all if needed...someone so different from Gideon's type.

Pansy, I loved all the side characters too! I found myself paged back to varies incident to catch all the details missed. I love this series. This series is a trilogy...which means there'll be only 3 books, right? I asked bc Mortal Instruments started out as a trilogy and now there are 5 bks and counting.
