What are you reading right now?

Also started reading 'Love in the time of Cholera' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (actual paperback book) in the evening. Another great book. Wonderful love story. I'm taking this one a little slower than I usually do--I want to savor it!

The third was my fav too, but the others afterward are not that far behind. BTW...I didn't miss it bc that movie was one of my favorites!

Happy dance!!!

Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones...I love it and a new one comes out at the end of October!!

I'm in love I read the first in like 2 days, they are so good!"
Rhage is my favorite!!

Yeah, Christine, she's one author I've broken up with - I read a lot of her Dark Ones novels till they just got too ridiculous and I found I was skipping ahead a lot... too light for me.

That is a great selection of books Anika. The only one I haven't read is Jocelyn's Choice. Let me know what you think of it.

I have about three hours left on the audio and I'm just bored. If I'm not in danger of dozing off, I'm rolling my eyes at what are obviously meant to be funny scenes that just fall flat for me.

I'm currently reading Lip Service by M.J. Rose. Great book so far. My next read is Finding Infinity by Susan Kiernan-Lewis.

I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I'm always looking for a good series. You mentioned it's not one of your favorite book series, what's your favorite?

I loved Seduced...can't wait to read Rapture!

I know exactly what you mean LOL! I mean i liked them enough and even loved some of them. But more often than not I would find myself rolling my eyes and muttering over some the brand name flinging and some of the phrases! And then I discovered tons of other readers that felt the same way over the same things ans we would just poke fun and laugh and laugh over them to the point where those annoying things became sort of custom traits for this series and now I twisted enough over them to look forward to them so I can crack up laughing! Like how JR Ward insists in sticking "H" anywhere she wants - Rhage, Torhment, Qhuinn, Xhex, LOL! And oh my god some of the phrases are hilarious, like "True" and "You feel me" and "Shit kickers" :D and I hated hated hated the sections in the earlier books about the Lessers :( oh my goodness so freaking boring that I would just skim right over them. Thank goodness the villains became much more interesting in the more current books. So see I too have a love hate relationship with this series. I love many many things about it and some other things really bugged me. But as you said they are most definitely addicting and now I look forward to every new book LOL! I also have many favorite ones I tell you so all in all for me a very satisfying read, who knew Lmao!

I didn't click with her light dragon series. However the ones before with Aisling Grey I loved. Jim the demon dog was just hilarious.

I've got the series x"
I've read the prequel for it and I really enjoyed that. Looking forward to this series.

I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I'm always looking for a good series. You mentioned it's not one of your favorite book series, what's your favorite?"

DOWNSIDE!!!

I totally agree with you. Like with the H's in the names I found myself thinking maybe there's a deeper meaning to it, lol, even when I know there's not. And the Lessers point of views are really boring that I just keep thinking I'd probably enjoy the books more it they were cut out of them. I'm glad to hear that the villians get better in the later books. Even though I dislike all this about the books, I know for sure that I'll still read all of them :)

Downside Ghosts!

I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I'm always looking for a good series. You mentioned it's not one of your favorite book series, what's your favorite?"
Hi..."
Oh all of these are wonderful. I love the night huntress series too. Cat & Bones are a hoot and superer hot together. really enjoyed the spinoffs from it as well with the night huntress worlds books and more recently Once Burned. Vlad's book was really good. And The Fever series is fantastic. Really like Karen Marie Moning's writing a lot. Her Highlander series is awesome too. I found that it was very helpful having read it first before reading The Fever series because it helped understand the world building better since KMM's take on The Fae is quite dark and unique. I truly loved her Highlander series and was my introduction to her writing and got me hooked :)

Oh they get do much better :) although I do have to say that aside from the Lesser parts which I pretty much skipped over for the most part, I did enjoy the books quite a bit. They grew on me. I loved the first 5-6 then was ok with the next couple. But absolutely climbed on board again with the introduction of John Matthew, Xhex, (LOVED their book). Qhuinn, Blay and the new villain who's name totally escapes me right now but yeah they continue to get good :).can't wait for the next book as its Qhuinn's & Blay's.

I'm reading these too. And I would go DOwnside Ghosts, Its one of my fav series

I REALLY liked Quinn's story. Tell me what you think. :)"
I'm about half way, so I should finish it today. Zanes has been my fav so far & I really hope she does a Thomas & Eddie story

@ Michelle - will do. what you think of the by CJ Roberts the captive books. My heart stopped on the second book when I start reading it. I plan to re-read again very soon. :D

My favourite book of the BDB series so far is Zsadist's book. I can't wait to read more about John Matthews because I really like his character. And I'm already loving Qhuinn and Blay even though I've only read a few short scenes with them.

Both of those stories are going to continue getting really good through the rest of the books. You're in for a nice ride :)
