What are you reading right now?
Just finished
and I have loved that series but seriously, you cannot leave us with a cliff hanger and then the next book doesnt come out for another YEAR!

I am listening to Kenneth Branaugh read 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad on audio--great narrator, great book. Almost done. Also started reading 'Love in the time of Cholera' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (actual paperback book) in the evening. Another great book. Wonderful love story. I'm taking this one a little slower than I usually do--I want to savor it!

This morning whilst I laid in bath I finished Hostile Witness - Rebecca Forster, which was not as good as I had expected at the beginning, but near the end it started getting better. Now I am about to embark on Poison Study - Maria V. Snyder which has been recommended to me.

Awaiting Lover Revealed, just finished book Lover Awakened which was beyond fab. Disappointed book 4 didn't arrive in post hopefully here tomorrow :) have book 5 but want to read in order. So loving this series it gets better and better.

Jenne, it's okay. I wasn't crazy about the first book so I hope this one is an improvement.

I mean i liked them enough and even loved some of them. But more often than not I would find myself rolling my eyes and muttering over some the brand name flinging and some of the phrases! And then I discovered tons of other readers that felt the same way over the same things ans we would just poke fun and laugh and laugh over them to the point where those annoying things became sort of custom traits for this series and now I twisted enough over them to look forward to them so I can crack up laughing! Like how JR Ward insists in sticking "H" anywhere she wants - Rhage, Torhment, Qhuinn, Xhex, LOL! And oh my god some of the phrases are hilarious, like "True" and "You feel me" and "Shit kickers" :D and I hated hated hated the sections in the earlier books about the Lessers :( oh my goodness so freaking boring that I would just skim right over them. Thank goodness the villains became much more interesting in the more current books. So see I too have a love hate relationship with this series. I love many many things about it and some other things really bugged me. But as you said they are most definitely addicting and now I look forward to every new book LOL! I also have many favorite ones I tell you so all in all for me a very satisfying read, who knew Lmao!

Hi. My favourite adult Paranormal Romance/ Urban Fantasy book series would have to be the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I also really loved the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Have you read them?

Like with the H's in the names I found myself thinking maybe there's a deeper meaning to it, lol, even when I know there's not. And the Lessers point of views are really boring that I just keep thinking I'd probably enjoy the books more it they were cut out of them. I'm glad to hear that the villians get better in the later books. Even though I dislike all this about the books, I know for sure that I'll still read all of them :)

Oh all of these are wonderful. I love the night huntress series too. Cat & Bones are a hoot and superer hot together. really enjoyed the spinoffs from it as well with the night huntress worlds books and more recently Once Burned. Vlad's book was really good. And The Fever series is fantastic. Really like Karen Marie Moning's writing a lot. Her Highlander series is awesome too. I found that it was very helpful having read it first before reading The Fever series because it helped understand the world building better since KMM's take on The Fae is quite dark and unique. I truly loved her Highlander series and was my introduction to her writing and got me hooked :)

They grew on me. I loved the first 5-6 then was ok with the next couple. But absolutely climbed on board again with the introduction of John Matthew, Xhex, (LOVED their book). Qhuinn, Blay and the new villain who's name totally escapes me right now but yeah they continue to get good :).can't wait for the next book as its Qhuinn's & Blay's.

I can't wait to read more about John Matthews because I really like his character. And I'm already loving Qhuinn and Blay even though I've only read a few short scenes with them.
