I honestly don't mind the sex scenes, although, if there are too many I start skimming. I think 9 orgasms in one day just stretches the believability factor. LOL

I don't think any Breeds went past 5 orgasms a day and the sex scenes are incredibly hot. There are a few though that starts totally out of the blue giving the reader a whiplash, but they're still hot. :)

I agree, I really loved Angels Blood. It was so unique.

Stick with it...I understand the smack factor, but I'm sure you'll be emotional teary near the end (in a good way). Loved those kids and Mitch with those kids was a heart melter.

I think you'll like the Dragonfire series. I know I really enjoyed them.

Next. I'm diving head-first into the Demonica series. I had to give PNR/UF a break after finishing Sacrificial Magic, it was both tender and raw. The Downside series is as well written as anything I have ever read. Stacia Kane is, IMO, terribly under-rated and under-read. Chess and Terrible are two of my all time favorite characters.

Btw, is it just me or does Goodread suddenly display all the cover links in a vertical line instead of horizontal?

I loved this one too! ;)"

*Sighs* I loved the Hawk!

The whole series is fantastic!
*Sighs* I loved the Hawk!"

I loved Shiver. It was a beautifully written story.
I'm not sure about the Anita Blake books anymore but I keep reading them because I guess I'm curious where the main story goes in the long run.
Most of my friends on here love the Black Dagger Brotherhood so I hope I do too.

I'll be honest with you and this is just MY take on it, but I loved the first 6 BDB books and the 7th (Rehv's story) would have been alright had she put more focus on the actual couple the book was about instead of all the other characters. To me it seemed like one couple that has their own book had their own mini book in that one . Makes me iffy about reading the rest but I did LOVE the first 6

I totally agree. She is a drop everything..."
I agree as well!

I agree with you completely. I loved the first 7 and then felt a bit disappointed with the last few. Lover Reborn was only a 2 star read for me.

I love Judd. I hope you enjoy it!"
Judd's story was my favorite so far. I've only read up to book 7 in the series. I really need to get back to those.

I think books 7 and 8 were the weakest in the series for me. They were still good, but just didn't grab me the way the other books did.

Just finished the Cassie Palmer series right before this series and I really liked that too.

Agree with you, P.A. Judd is best so far. I'm trying so hard to like this series, but it's just not capturing me like the Guild Hunters. I freaking LOVE Raphael and Elena and Bluebell and and and.... Can't get my head wrapped around the difference in atmosphere and potency. GH has me enthralled while Psy-Changeling is just meh to me. I'm really just slogging through it just so I can get to Hawke and Sienna. It's my light at the end of the tunnel.

I agree. I liked books 7 and 8, but I don't keep rereading them, like I've been doing with most of the other books (especially 3, 6, 9 and 10). I can't wait for

What bothered me in Lover Reborn is that the main side story was John and Xhex again and they dealt Again, with the same issues they had already dealt with in their book. I really felt it was redundant. Then you end up skimming a lot. I am planning to read Blay and Quinn's book only becuase I've been wanting them to get a HEA but I think it will be my last BDB book.

Yea see I though Lover Avenged had a mini book for John and Xhex and yet they're still dealing with their issues 2 books later as well? I mean a little bit of side story is fine but when you have a book that's maybe 25% for the actual couple and 75% for side story it's a bit much. I stopped at Lover avenged and I'm actually afraid to read the last 3. It took me 3 days to read Lover Avenged... It just dragged on .... I'm at the point where the BDB has just come to it's end for me...

I definitely picked up on the sex thing about the two series. Breeds have chapter after chapter of endless sex while New Species are a little more subtle until they get to the sex part, although when they DO get to that they go all the way and stil no to the Breeds level. LOL
