Emma is the fist heroing since Cyn that I like. She's spunky and has backbone. She was good for Duncan. I didn't like Radjmund and Sophia as much but I loved Duncan.

yah its good and the guy in the book is soo freaken sweet!!

Those 2 books are where I started the series...the covers, I guess, grabbed me (never judge)...YUMMMMMMMMMM!

Merry Christmas everyone. :)

Bones will forever be my favourite Vamp. I stumbled upon this group by following P.A. & seeing a comment she had made on this group, Anyhow I only "stumbled" across adult p/n by reading richelle ead's books. P.A. & the others suggested I read Night Hubtress, I was a bit hesitant as I had read series about vamps before & felt like I needed to branch out BUT, I got the book & Kazzy, Paula & I started a Night Huntress buddy read, Kazzy in the UK, Paula in Spain & me in Australia. Some of the other member's messaged me the reading order with short stories included & I saved the list so I will pass on the list to you. You may find you might need a break after book three lol I just read them all one after the other. If you don't have a kindle or nook I can send you the names of the books the short stories are in. I only got my kindle near Christmas last year so I have all the current Night Huntress, Night World & novellas in paperback, just let me know if you need that list & I love everyone for recommending this & other series I have now read, reading or yet to to read. They did a good community deed by not letting me go insane from reading more YA, adult P/N is soooo much better
I have the short stories for you Sheree. This is in order with the books, spin offs and anthologies:
HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE
HAPPILY NEVER AFTER
ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
AT GRAVE'S END
DEVIL TO PAY
DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE
MAGIC GRAVES
FRIST DROP OF CRIMSON (night World series)
ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS (Night World series)
THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE
ONE GRAVE AT A TIME

Hopes this helps ya.
I found a website that listed this as all the Cat and Bones stories in reading order:
Reckoning
Halfway to the grave
One Foot In the Grave
Happily Never After
At Grave's End
Devil To Pay
Destined For an Early Grave
One For the Money (Magic Gravges - 2 short stories)
First Drop Of Crimson
Eternal Kiss of Darkness
This Side Of the Grave
One Grave at a Time
Home For the Holidays
And next year there's supposed to be spin-off with Vlad
Becky Boo’s list

I loved this book too P.A. Duncan is a great character. Not as close to my heart as Raphael but close.

have you been peeking at the books I haven't read yet that are on my TBR?
btw I'll move Alexandra's Legacy up

Sheree,
I think Jeaniene Frost owes you some commission for what a job you're doing selling her books.

Yeah, that book killed me. It was great, but what that man went through. *shivers* My heart just ached for him.

The best part of Sophia is the Cyn/Raphael story...otherwise a dud. Rajmund was okay...I think it was a decent stand alone and I have to admit that the vignettes about them are a bit better than the book but you are right Duncan was up there with Raphael's story....I am looking forward to Lucas's book. She is teasing on her website about this one.
Words about her writing Lucas by D.B. Reynolds:
"Tough job, huh? Spending my nights with a gorgeous vamp? Black hair, golden eyes … unfortunately, he’s just been seduced by an FBI agent. Or maybe she was the one seduced, hard to tell for sure.
I AM spending A LOT of time writing these days) LUCAS is speeding along very, very nicely. Lots of vampire butt being kicked in this one, enough to please my most bloodthirsty reader, while plenty of the other stuff (i.e., romance and sex) for everyone else.
Yep, that’s all I’ve been doing this week. Working. The first Cyn/Raphael novella is complete and now I’m spending my nights with Lucas. Here’s a brief (very brief) taste of my darling Lucas. This one paragraph pretty much captures him in a nutshell."
.
"All Lucas had to do was exert his will and the unfaithful bastard’s heart would shrivel in his chest. But where was the fun in that?"
.
"There’s lots of stuff going on in Lucas’s story. Unfortunately, not nearly as much in real life."

Yeah Jolyn...having read the other books and seeing how "different" he was and how he disregarded his own safety and how head strong he was...I think all of that helped to build up to his book. I felt so bad for him when you see everyone kinda keep him at arms length knowing what he went through now.

I completely agree - with the build up, and with the way he was treated. I'm still trying to figure out if it was just better that he fully expected it (how he was ostracized) so it hurt less than it would an average man. But then that would also mean accepting his past treatment/life which made him that way (expecting the worse and viewing himself as less of a person). This book was a real mind trip in more ways than one.

I loved the Lord of The Rings Trilogy and the Hobbit. Great reads.

I liked the part of Duncan's turning and I really like Emma she reminded me of Cyn.

Happens to me all the time. That's why my currently reading list is about 20 books long.

I am glad you ladies are talking about the beginning of the Darkest Seduction being slow. I thought it was just me! I'm glad you say it picks up - I will keep at it.

You really need to finish it. So many things wrap up with this book and so much is going to happen. You may be confused when the next book comes out. Don't forget the spin off. You get the history in this book. Keep going Girl!

Gabriel's Mate was interesting. I couldn't stop flipping the pages--I was dying to find out what was wrong with his man parts. LOL

LOL right??? It took me a total of 6 hours uninterrupted to read it... didn't put it down until I finished... Can you imagine having a man that... gifted? LOL
