I second that - awesome series and the sex is pretty hot, although nothing compares with Fifty.

message 19420: by Sassy Sarah Reads (new)

Sassy Sarah Reads I tried to not read paranormal but I couldn't help picking up Kiss of the Night (Dark-Hunter, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon from my bookshelf and since I have a three day weekend I figured I can finsih this then try to finish Endless Summer (The Boys Next Door & Endless Summer) by Jennifer Echols . I finally got Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles today and I can't wait to read it, but I won't until I'm done with these two other books.

Why would you compare it to Fifty in the first place?....these two series are so totally different from each other. It would be like trying to decide which had a greater value...a brand new car and a piece of jewelry....

LOL - I would never compare the two but I can see where someone would have a hard time getting into any book they read after Fifty. I know I did - I actually read Duncan and it took me quite a few chapters to shut Fifty out even though I love the series and the character.

You are so right. When ever you read something that smashes you soul you just need to find something so totally different or have a few nights of just TV or something to free you from that first novel's grasp. I think we all went through that reading those books. lol

The end of book 3 was intense, wasn't it? And this is hands down the best, most well-thought out resolution of a love triangle I have ever read. I love this series.

message 19426: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I just finished Second Grave on the Left (Charley Davidson, #2) by Darynda Jones . I enjoyed it even more than the first. It still has the humor and sarcasm, but it's toned down a bit from the first book and not so over the top to distract from the story. I'm looking forward to the next one at the end of the month.

Aimie (aim4theneck) | 98 comments I am currently reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson and Whisper A Scream Noche Files I (Volume 2) by Pete Turner and i'm also listening to Witch and Wizard by James Patterson on audio. I know none of these are PNR But they have been sat on my kindle waiting to be read forever. I have been promising Pete Turner (author of Whisper A Scream: Noche Files I) that I will read and review it ASAP.
Unfortunately PNR's like Psy-changeling series, Night Huntress series and Fever series have distracted me. So Now I am not allowing myself to pick up another book until i have finished these three.

Amanda Carney I finished Eyes Like Stars (Théâtre Illuminata, #1) by Lisa Mantchev . It was hard to follow at times, but ended up being quite a magical read. Very descriptive and full of imagery. Altho, I must admit, I'm still somewhat lost, but looking forward to reading the next one. Now starting Vampire Manifesto by Rashaad Bell . :)
