Night Pleasures is pretty cheesy - but the rest of the series is NOTHING like that first book. The first book really doesn't fit in with the series at all. Don't let it discourage you from the other books.

It will kill you to read the next book....cliffhangers can do that to you!

Then feel sorry for the rest of us who had to wait months for that book...and the author put the first page of chapter one as a tease.....It was painful. I thought about taking the day off from work to read the book....I never want to go through that again!

Barbara ★ I just finished Angel Burn and really liked the fact that for once the angels weren't the good guys. Totally enjoyable though it did drag a little in the middle.

Interesting, I didn't like the English accent at first either, but I more than love it now!

I actually fell in love with it. I was trying to steer away from vampires (lol that one I obviously failed) but some teenager on a VA fan page suggested I read it. I am glad I did, it is a little more grown up but still ya. I grabbed the first & then laybyed the 2-9 & I was so impatient I ended up buying each book & when I picked up my layby I had to return them all. I won a competition early in the yr to meet & have afternoon tea with Rachel Caine. I have to say she is one of the most down to earth, nicest people I have ever met. She told us about her more adult series she was releasing (The Revivalists) 1st book being Working Stiff. I loved it, it was amazing I couldn't put it down. Morganville is great but I am now a Night Huntress addict & nothing beats that series in my mind atm which sux seeing I am waiting on the 3rd book. I can't believe I never knew about all these great ADULT themed series, if it wasn't for GR I'd still be in the dark. Give it a go when you get time between books, no hot & steamy scenes but some good other twists in there

All I can say is you're very lucky to have all the books ready for you to read. The cliff-hanger left a number of us dying and couldn't get our hands on the last book fast enough. I thought that was mean and really un-necessary, seriously, I'd ready anything from KMM, she should know that. It was awful...in a really good way. Enjoy.

That was some great scacrifice on his part. It was so sad. I was so bugged with these two in the beginning. They were such teasers. It felt like a cha-cha, two-step forward, one-step back...at times even three-steps back. Geez...

I totally agree. After I read the first fever book, I holed myself up in the bedroom(kids and hubby were gone) and read the entire series. Barrons is very arrogant, unpredictable, clever and a total asshole at times. But I can't help but love him. When he went to get Mac at the abby and how he brought her back from pryia(sp), he will be on my good side forever.
