Thanks Sheree, I actually have read all of those. I just go to YA every once in a while if someone here really recommends it. I enjoyed the Vampire Academy and City of Bones series as well as Hunger Games, Twilight, etc. I did not like Hush Hush or Vampire Diaries or House of Night. I guess its hit or miss.

New one does not come out until January 24th. It is Sterling's story. I cannot freakin' wait.

Now I'm reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows ...or trying to anyway...it's hard for me to get interested in a book written completely in letters....

That's disapppointing (about the Breeds series). It had such a great premise too. I'll probably stick to it though, since I'm invested in the characters now. I can always keep my fingers crossed, right?? ;)

I have Night Huntress on my TBR list. And now have just added the Chicagoland Vampires series. Thank you!

Good luck with that series! The concept is great, and she's a good writer, but the protag got on my nerves. And, considering we're in her head (1st person POV), it made for an annoying journey at times. Also, I think the author rushed the third book and left me with more questions than answers. However...I've been told I'm not the norm in my opinion. I'm curious as to what you think when you're done. :) Hope you like it!

Jolyn, glad to hear I'm not the only one. I really enjoyed the first book, but cannot seem to get into the second. At this point, I'm not even sure I'm going to bother!

Oh, good! I was hoping there was someone else in my boat! ;) If you can just walk away at this point (something I have trouble with in the middle of a series), then you should - you won't be missing much IMHO. :)

Its funny, I read the first one and completely loved it(one of my top reads of the year), but feel no need to read the other two in the trilogy. Maybe one day I'll read 'em, but right now I have like 400 books in my TBR pile...

Holy cow! Your list is bigger than mine! (I didn't think that was possible. *snicker*)

I have to admit, Julie, the first one wasn't too bad. But it went downhill for me after that.

Good luck with that list!!

I can't wait. I'm so afraid for Sterling... I'm so close to be done with IN DEATH series. I'm definitely doing audiobook of the Highlander by KMM next. I need that Irish accent to keep me on my toes.

I read the first house of night & never bought another, too childish for me as I found with Vampire Diaries, I went against gut instinct & instead of buying only the first book I bought a pack for $50, I wasted my money, I hated it, I read the first & got roughly two pages into the second & put them all away. A friend who I got to read VA & then Succubus told me to stay away from Hush Hush so I wont be buying those at all & I am really booked up atm with the Night Huntress & eventually the BDB series when I finish all of the Night Huntress. Also for a ya book I did enjoy Morganville Vampires & the latest is out today & then the last in Dark Swan but I don't think I will get to them until I have gotten through Night Huntress. I am a very crappy, slow reader :)

I read this book too and at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but it grew on me. It got to the point where I was thinking about the characters when I wasn't reading. Also, I don't normally like any sort of love triangles and the main character made a lot of decisions that bothered me--but it seemed to work together in the end. It's easier to accept it all because a lot what happens is a direct result of what she is.
