I didn't like how Forever ended either. Too bad.

yeah it was kinda like.... *poof* or it's over hmmm If I wasn't paying attention I would've missed it lol.

Amen! She totally let Phury down with his story. All those scenes between JM and Cormia and I kept thinking, why isn't she having a moment like this with Phury? After all he'd been through this is all the more he gets for his story line? And one minute they're all bumming red smokes from him, the next they're washing their hands of him because of his addiction without even trying to help him?!
Man, get me griping about BDB and I could go on for hours. Even though I love them and get sucked into every blessed book.

Christine - I completely agree. Phury was one of my favorite brothers in the earlier books and he got completey screwed in his own story.

OH wow, The first 3 Anita blake books: Guilty Pleasures, The Laughing Corpse, Circus of the Damned are excellent. Highly recommend those. The next 3 books are good, anything after that is awful t..."
Yes, exactly Ashley! There is only so many people she can sleep with and animals she can call before I couldn't take it anymore. I will have to check out your new reading choice, haven't read anything light in a long time, should be refreshing!

SECOND THAT AMEN! That is the ONLY book out of the series I felt was dull (Phury's parts) and he didn't get a good story. I understand he did what he had to for his brother, but man, I feel sorry for him in a way.

When I started reading Lover Avenged, I was septical because I didn't think I could like him, but it was great!!! Another one to add to the list of men (well, vampire/sympath) I love!

Oh, I could have slapped Z when he turn his back on Phury, after everything Phury did for him. Argh! One of many, many times I've felt like slapping these guys.... I mean, you've been hunting lessers for centuries and the best strategy you can come up with is "Let's go wander around downtown and see if we trip over any"?

I'm now reading

I just finished succubus dreams and am devistated! Why?! Why?! Why?! Im just so upset! But I plan on reading the rest. Im just depressed.

Reading

I finished Maya Bank's Highlander series last week. I read one after the other. I was hooked. The third and final one comes out tomorrow. I cannot wait. I really wish she did not end with three. It is so good.

Phury's book... Hated it!!!What a let down. I loved Rhev's book(I have read it twice). Listening to it now on audio until I get the Holiday in Death audio from the library. I'm on a freakin' wait list. In Death series is the most popular.

I like Maya Banks Colters' Legacy.. I thought about giving her Highlanders series a try but I can not always get into historicals

I love love love Rhev! oh...his story his awesome too!

I've read Lover Avenged twice too and then focused on just Rhev and Ehlena's parts. His love for her was achingly sweet.

I read the first 4 books of Georgina Kincaid series and discovered that I'm a very patient masochist.

Have faith lol, trust me, it's worth it ;)

I completely agree! Showalter has done some nice teases with him too: his curse, his feelings for Gilly (sp?), his relationship with Anya. Can't wait to see how it all plays out! I think the Lords will be there for him - Kane barely knows him but was concerned about his wellbeing during The Darkest Surrender. I hope his book is after Paris'. If so, 2012 is going to be a great year!! :)

I'm probably going to burn in WARDen you-know-what for this, but I totally agree! When (not "if") I reread the series, I'll probably either skim his, or skip it all together. She interweaves the story lines so much though...I don't think I'll be able to get away with skipping it.

I'm not too far in, but I've heard so much about it on GR that I keep waiting to be impressed."
You might have a long wait. I wasn't impressed with the series at all. I read it, and did get into parts of it, but as a whole it didn't do it for me. The potential was there, but didn't deliver. Of course...there was so much hype about it that maybe I had just gotten my hopes up.

I'm almost 200 pages in, and still not impressed. It's getting more interesting now that the plot is finally underway, but I think it's the writing style that doesn't really appeal to me.
Although I did love this line: If you were half as funny as you think you are, you'd be twice as funny as you really are.

Maya Banks Highlander series is really good. I'm flip flopping on Rachel Vincent's Shifter series. Sometimes they make me so mad! And the fade to black love scenes get a bit frustrating. Not that I have to have raunch, but sometimes it ruins the chemistry that I think I'm supposed to feel. I think I felt more chemistry between Faythe and Jace than Faythe and Marc.

Now though I am reading

LOVED this book!

Keep going, I really enjoyed those books. Thought that they could have ended on the third one, but I enjoyed the characters.

I actually loved the other story arc with Qhuiin and Lash, because it felt like she was shifting to writing more urban fantasy (which I love). But I hated Phury's story line. I liked him so much up until this book, and it was such a let down. I didn't really care for Rhev's book either. Butch is my favorite brother, but I can't wait to read Thorment's story next year!!

I am also so excited for Tohrments book, the only thing is, can they "Bond" more than once? I love that he was so in love with Welsie for so long, I want him to move on, but don't want it to take away from the importance of his relationship with his wife. You?

You'll have to let me know how it pans out for you. :) Who knows...I might be the anomaly. (And yes...that is a good line!!)

Finally finished
. Not my favorite, but not bad. I wish there was more mention of all the past characters we've gotten to know so well. At this point, if Maddox or Reyes showed their face I'm gonna say "Aaaand...who are you again?" ;)
Trying to figure out what to read next. My TBR list is way too long to manage or figure out. Maybe I'll just close my eyes and point. Haha!

I know. I was so devastated about Welsie, and I'm curious to see how Ward handles Tohr's story. I also hope Lassiter is in Tohr's book. For me, he added some much needed comic relief in the one or two books where he actually got some page time.
I actually cried when Welsie died. I would love nothing more than for Tohr to be able to find love again. I dont see any reason why they couldnt bond again.. I would also love to see Lassiter in Tohr's book.

I read the first book and loved it. I have not read the second yet.

Totally agree. I have reread 3 times and I always skim Phury's book.We will both be in Warden You-know-what. Oh, and I miss some of the old characters in LOTU. When is Ashlyn going to have those demon babies?

Have you seen his cover? It is sexy as hell.I loved Tohr and Wellsie. I am so nervous about his book.

Can't wait to read the rest of this series, the first 2 books have been great!!

Just finished

Just picked up my copy from the library today but I have a few books due sooner..and of course I hogged a few more books...as if I can read them all, sigh...
Good luck picking your next read. I pick mine base on my friends rec's and library availability. And if I got a bunch of them at the same time, I ck with GR for higher ratings and friends' reviews.
