La La | 245 comments I finished reading Book 3 of the In Death Series Immortal in Death (In Death, #3) by J.D. Robb which was really good and not as predictable as the first 2. I took me till the end of the story to figure out who the killer was. I'm now reading book 3 of the Kate Daniel Series Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews . I find I'm not that big of a fan of post apocalyptic books. I do like Kate and I wish their was a little bit more heat in the book. Not necessarily sex, but at least an underlying of sexual tension. I mean, we are told it there, but the author is not very good on making me feel it.

Ciara, for me personally, I didn't mind reading the Fever series first. I just finished the first Highlander last night, and it was really good. I think I saw someone mention timelines... I don't really pay deep attention to stuff like that! Hee! I just read the story. So, I don't think it matters. If I were you, I'd read whichever one first you have on hand. Enjoy!

Thank you, I will make sure as to remember to read Highlander first but for me it is Night huntress I will start on but I warn you, I hate it but I am a slow reader & only tend to read before going to sleep :)

I don't think it matters much, at least it didn't to me. :) Altho, I've just now read the first Highlander. I thought the Fever series was great, don't get me wrong! But, I for whatever reason, was able to get into the Highlander series more. I guess, cause she wasn't always trying to explain feelings in so much detail and constantly having the heroine ask herself questions... I'd say read whichever series you want first. :)

Amy & BJS - thanks for clearing that up. I kept seeing those posts everywhere and they were starting to get really annoying.

To each his own but I couldn't quite understand why they were posting in the blogs that had nothing to do with role-playing.

I started out with Ciara too, then I kept changing my mind as I read on. Honestly, the one that had be bawling due to its tenderness was Drustan but it's Adam and his story that had my heart squeezed!

Mandy, I thought this book was very good too and I was so excited to have found it...even though everyone was telling me the first 2 books were not as great compare to the rest...all I can say to that was, woohoo for me and couldn't wait to get to the rest. BTW...they were right, it gets better!

Sheree, nothing's wrong with reading NH first...it's my top 2 favorite series. In fact, your timing would be perfect bc while you enjoy the afterglow of Bones, trust me, you'll feel it, you can switch to highlanders bc Bones will ruin it for vampires for a little while...IMO.

This suddenly reminds me that I have yet to read Hunter's book! I think it got lost somewhere in the TBR pile, but I better go dig it out. I've been waiting for Chase's book since he was first introduced in the series.

I read the Highlander series first and I thought it was the way to go because the characters show up in the Fever series. That is how I found the Fever series actually. I read all the Highlander books and looked up the other books Karen Moening wrote.

Hunter's book was the one I was really looking forward to, but I must say it kinda felt like a let down, it was still good, but it kind of felt like it was just as much about Chase as it was on Hunter.

Definitely no hotness with this series, it's UF. It's really good, though but it has no romance whatsoever.
