Thanx guy's from all your talking about this series I have added the first "Halfway To The Grave" to my "to read" list. Is it young paranormal, teenage based?

NO ... to "young paranormal, teenage based". It's "hot-steamy-funny" with a great plot kind of deal, but not erotica romance...I don't think, agree. There're so many memorable phrases that just cracked me up and at the same time...Bones...ahhh, he's a handful and then some...

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Crazy 4more, I agree not young paranormal, but not erotica. The sexual chemistry builds nicely and the sex scenes are steamy, but still tastefully written. If I were putting it on a scale of 1-5 for sexual heat 1 being YA and 5 being erotica I would give it a 3. And I agree about Bones WOW, WOW, WOW...that's all I can say about Bones.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Sheree, Night Huntress is the series I recommend first. But when you're done I can tell you tons of other adult PNR books that are awesome--I never like YA books. I think the only reason I liked Twilight is because Bella seemed more mature.

If you're looking for more adult series, have you checked out the Psy/Changeling series by Nalini Singh or the Guild Hunter series by the same author, or Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward? Also, Shannon K. Butcher's Sentinel Wars is a great series. Along with Cat and Bones, these are probably my top five paranormal romance series. Although, I could name quite a few more.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I am just finishing Angels Blood by Nalini Singh now and I can already tell she's going to be a new favorite author for me. Elena is a great heroine, tough but still feminine, smart and sassy. I really like her.

Christine | 1127 comments I'm halfway through Queen of Shadows and really liking it.
Queen of Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Dianne Sylvan

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 241 comments I finished Angels Blood and immediately got book two. I am almost finished with it and I do love Elena. She is certain a kick butt type of girl.

Elena is a great character - she reminds me a lot of Cat from Night Huntress. I like that she has her flaws but that only makes her a better, stronger character. She admits to fear but doesn't let it stop her from standing up for herself.

Thanks heaps, I will take all recommendations on, as I live to read every night. I think as soon as I get Succubus I will read that, then finish Paranormalcy & straight away get onto Night Huntress I'm so excited there are more adult books for me to read. the young stuff makes me feel very old & PA Feel free to recommend any more to me. I am however a slow reader but I want more

I've heard good things about this series but I had such a hard time getting into the first book that I never finished it. Did you find they got better as it went on?

I just read the first 3 books about a month ago and they do get better. Book 1 was just okay for me. I enjoyed the 2nd book but I really liked book 3. I put the series on hold because I am missing book 4 - I have all the others (I bought them at Borders during the sale). When I get book 4 I will jump back into the series.

Magda | 558 comments Glad you're enjoying them, Michelle. I plan on doing a series re-read before January when book #12 comes out.
I've actually had a hard time concentrating on the books I'm reading because I want to RR them now!

message 15518: by Sheree (new)

Sheree wow way too many suggestions guy's i'll never leave my room at this rate but I will def read them all, I have challenged myself to read Night huntress straight after Succubus & them you'll all need to remind me what the others are :)

Tracy T. | 252 comments I just finished Unholy Magic (Downside Ghosts, #2) by Stacia Kane and I really really enjoyed it. The only thing that's bugging me is that I can't figure out what city Triumph City used to be. Kane said there was a huge clue in this book, but I must have skipped over it. I've only figured out that its in the Northern part of the US and its not on an ocean.

Nice top-five! though I would recommend reading BDB last among these choices bc seriously, these Brothers will ruin it for a few due to the hardcore-intensity-hotness storyline & plot. I haven't gotten to Psy but planning on it since I love Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter. I have been eyeing IAD series too.

I see you're 1/2 done with Queen of Shadow. Wonder how our interest match up?

Isn't it a great series? such beautiful images, great-strong-smart characters and you're just a the tip of the plot. Nalini Singh cannot write fast enough for me. I think I will need to start on her Psy series after I knock out a few more books on my desk right now.

I forced myself to put it down at 11:30 last night so I could get some sleep. Why, oh why, must we need sleep?! I am completely intrigued by the characters and the story line. I loved the end of the first part when he walked out of the house, kissed her, then just turned around and walked back into the house without saying a word. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Please let me know how the Psy series is. I have seen it numerous times but haven't picked it up. I have a few other books to try thanks to you all. I love the Archangel books and I hope the Psy series is as good. Next to Bones is Rapheal!

The Psy/Changeling series is probably my favorite overall PNR series. I put off reading it for months because of some of the titles, but it is so good. Nalini Singh has a real talent for making you feel what her characters feel and she does a great job of mixing humor in with all the action and drama. Some of the individual books are better than others, and it seems everyone I talk to has a different favorite book and favorite couple. So if one book doesn't really appeal to you, the next one might. I highly recommend it to fans of PNR.

P.A. I am so glad that you fell in love with Raphael & Elena like I did. I think after you read a few more books Raphael will move even closer to Bones in your heart. They are pretty close for me with Bones just barely in the lead.
