I have to revisit my earlier opinion on this book. I was fine with it when I was only half way through but I have to agree with P.A. that it really started to drag. I didn't hate it but not so sure if I care what happens in the next book now.

From the synopsis I thought I was going to get a little bit more in the romance department and I was very disappointed with the way things went with the main characters. I mean I wasn't expecting erotica but a little something would have been a refreshing change in the seriousness of the writing. Just my opinion.

Overall kind of a disappointment.

A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 49 comments I'm reading Virals by Kathy Reichs on audiobook during my commute and Covet (The Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward in paperback.

Honestly, after reading (and rereading) the BDB books, I expected more romance from the WARDen in this book. That said, I'm really loving the story.

I know what you mean! I used to read a series from book #1 to the end of the series (or whatever is out so far) but with the book challenges, I find myself reading a book in one series, going to another series, and so on. My TBR list just keeps growing astronomically!

Seriously! I've got so many unfinished series right now, it's ridiculous! And thanks to Borders liquidation sale, the TBR pile has over taken my bedroom. I'm afraid it may topple over in the night and crush me. But what a way to go.

I know what you mean. I finished the book I had been reading and turned to the pile of books on my desk at work that I have been buying from Borders for the last few weeks and realized that I had no idea which one to read next. What an awful dilemma!

Gwenvael is definitely my favorite so far too. I love every single characters, especially the Beast and now wrenching over Annwyl. I have only 1/4 more to go and hope to finish it tonight. It's so exciting.

I love love these females. They are so uniquely strong and so different from each other. Annwyl is just plain bad-ass queen, Talaith & Morfyd have their magic, Dagmar has the brain. Izzy is just plain cute and adore by her dragon relatives. Can't wait for her book too.

Talk about breaking out of my slump, this book is the best PNR I've read in a long time. And I've read alot of great stuff. This one actaully lives up to the hype...I'm about halfway through and am sad cause I'm sure I'll finish it by tomorrow. Pia and Dragos together are fantastic...Dragos is my kinda hero super alpha but so protective; and super fine to boot :)

Sorry you're dropping this book. It was a slow start while trying to set the foundation for the team. Once the foundation is established, the storyline is interesting, the characters are memorable ...but it still has its slow moments. I'm hitched on the plot and characters, but it didn't happen overnight.
