Thank you. I stopped after A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander, #6) by Diana Gabaldon bc I heard Echo has a really bad cliff-hanger. Plus ABOSAA had a nice closure so I'm waiting for the last book to be available before reading Echo.

I think I didn't read them before because I'm not usually a fan of fairy's and fae, but so many people have said good things that I have to give it a try.

You know what bothered me the most about this book, it's supposed to be YA and there's a scene where a girl is giving a guy a BJ in the first few chapters. It wasn't something I was happy to have my 12 year old neice read--when did that suddenly become okay for YA.

I don't know. There were serveral things that I wa like huh? Why even bring up the BJ thing! That could have been done just by saying she was coming on to him and he was pushing her away. The racist/stereotyping bother me. The calling the red headed guy ugly. She is so worried about being an outcast but she is doing it to other people. Then there is the OMG I kissed a Boy - I don't do that I'm not a Slut!

I read the first five or so in this series and I did get really tired of the I feel like a slut angle. I also got tired of the many males in her life that she couldn't choose from. I don't know if I'll ever finish the series.

You have to let me know how you like it. This is one of those books where I've judged the books by the cover--I thought they looked a little kitschy so I haven't read the books. I know I shouldn't do that but I have to like a cover.

message 14672: by La La (new)

La La | 245 comments I'm halfway through book 5 of the fever series and even though it is a pretty enjoyable read it hasn't really grabbed me. Some of things that was revealed in the 1st half I kind of figured out already so I wasn't really suprised. I do love Barrons, though. He is one of those true dangerous heroes. I'm also enjoying V'lane. I find him amusing.

Julie | 188 comments So I have been in a giant PNR slump the last couple months not wanting to read any even though my TBR pile is in the hundreds :) I finally found a book that has snagged my interest and that is Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison which I might not have picked up if it weren't for all the hype its been getting here. I've only read a bit so far but I am riveted, very fun to read so far. Pia is awesome; haven't got too much about Dragos so far...can't wait til these two meet

Crystalclearwpg (chrystal-clear) | 23 comments With my summer coming to an end and looking at going back to university, I have decided to do some easy reads for the last week. I just finished Bloodshot and I did enjoy it and can't wait to see if there will be a second. Now I've decided to do some reading that won't take any time at all and that will be Dance with a Vampire. They are very easy reads but I do enjoy reading them and then I know what my daughter will be reading also.

I love Cat and Bones, but was kind of disappointed in the last one. A lot of running around for not much of a showdown at the end. How does this one compare?

I'm glad to hear that. I was worried after the last one that the series might start going down hill. And I love it when they add a new character to offer some comic relief. But what I'm really waiting for is Vlad's book next spring!!

I agree. I am loving it as well. I am only about halfway through. Decided to take a Borders run and didn't get much reading in last night(but got tons of great books :)... I prefer my Nook but can't beat $3 for pb and $8-12 for HB). I love the new character as well as getting to hear from all the favs. I never get sick of this series.
