So Cassidy, what do you think so far??? Jericho and Mac are two of my favorite all time characters. As a matter of fact my daughter is planning her next, an probably last baby, and we want it to be a girl so we can name her MacKayla.

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I'm hoping to be done with Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead today i've either been busy or depressed to read, but I'm determined lol.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 114 comments I started reading Burning Alive (Sentinel Wars, #1) by Shannon K. Butcher but couldn't make it past the first chapter. I don't know, some of it reminded me too much of Rhage & Mary from BDB - the way the heroine could soothe the heroe's pain by sound/touch/proximity. I also thought some of it just seemed too unbelievable - well, unbelieveable for a PNR. lol I mean unbelieveable in the sense that there were some holes in the action/logic. It's too bad because I think the concept was really great and the hero was hot and intriguing. His buddy Zach also caught my attention. Maybe I'll go back and finish it at another time.

Anyhooo, now I've started Jacob (Nightwalkers, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank . So far there are some flaws but I'm kind of intrigued by Jacob and Isabella so we'll see. :)

lol Heidi. I just never wanted to read it because of the cover but the rating is so high, and after seeing the previews for the movie it looks a bit interesting to me now. It will be a long time before I get it though.

The first book was my least favorite in the series. I think Zach's book is #3? I liked that one and I liked the one after that. The second was better than the first, but not as good as books 3 & 4

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments Finished Dead Reckoning and now I am going to start Vampire Academy and read that series. I have read every Sookie book and short now, it feels weird to have to wait for the next one. Can't wait to start VA, everyone seems to really like this series.

Thanks, I'm about a third of the way through and like it so far. It's annoying that everyone is 'hot' though, lol. I guess it's been a long time since I've read YA. There is more talk of sex and drugs than I expected out of YA too though.

Sorry you weren't able to get into it. I'm reading it as well and enjoying it so far. It may be because I haven't read any of the BDB books so I don't have anything to compare it to.

That's a good point. While I enjoyed Sentinel Wars, it didn't hold a candle to BDB, LotU, or Midnight Breed.

message 14219: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I finally finished Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead I only gave it two stars I didn't like this one so well, I didn't like how Georgina was so whiny like, and like she was constantly PMSing. And I don't like it the thing with Seth and and definitely don't like it with Maddie that in my opinion was completely messed up of Seth. But now I'm gonna start reading A Bite to Remember (Argeneau, #5) by Lynsay Sands

The set up leading to book 5 and 6 is just plain painful. Can you remind me, I forgot which book and maybe I have to go thru the torture again, I thought Seth mentioned that the first time he saw Georgina, she was wearing cream??? I thought the Georgina was wearing floral and purple skirt at the book signing. Is that some kind of a hint who he really was?

Sammie...I didn't know I had it in me to read to book 5. I was beyond pissed, beyond... but I made it and was glad and will finish the last book coming out soon. I mean to know someone so deeply as Seth knew & loved Georgina, he jumped Maggies, seriously??? there were so many impossible outcomes and too many too-good-to-be-true scenarios...at the end, it's the patient mashocistic in me took over. Pansy, my friend, there's been time I couldn't get into a book, even though you loved DH. You've been preoccupied, finish your other stuffs, get your other longing reads out of the way bc Retribution is worth devouring. I had fun and I know you will too.

Not knowing anything about Nora Roberts....I ask, why is it the last book? Hopefully the story is over and not the author?

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 241 comments Nora Roberts has a bazillion book and most are good. I really enjoy her 'in Death' series she writes under the pen name JD Robb. This series has upwards of twenty or thirty books in it. It is really good.

I also read Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning . It wasn't as boring as I braced myself for it to be but it did have its dragging moment. I do find Barrons very intriguing, though. Macs pinkyness is kind of getting on my nerves. I'm going to push through because I know the series gets better

I'm inthrall and so happy her JD Robb's In Death series is in the 30 books. I'm on book #24 and loving it. I recommend its audiobook, Susan Ericksen is amazing.

Crazy4more, I'm only up to Book 4 of In Death series. What really makes it great is the relationship between Eve and Roarke. Rapture in Death (In Death, #4) by J.D. Following Roarke & Eve's relationship is the reason I'm reading them in order. The crimes are pretty much stand alone but personal growth, dealing with their pasts, pains, demons and how they so compatible, growing and needing each other is the perfect combination. I'm listening to Born in Death (In Death, #23) by J.D. Robb ...just wow...you all need to hear Roarke's fury...and then the make-up sex, yup...yumyum...

Lauren (laurenjberman) Finished Burning Alive (Sentinel Wars, #1) by Shannon K. Butcher and really enjoyed it.

I loved the imaginative and well-detailed world building and the connection between Drake and Helen is intense and drew me right into the story.

I also liked the secondary characters especially Zach. I couldn't stand Logan though and I hope I like him better by the time I get to his book.

Lan-Dinh wrote: While I enjoyed Sentinel Wars, it didn't hold a candle to BDB, LotU, or Midnight Breed. ." - I completely agree. The series is not nearly as good as Midnight Breed. I couldn't get into either BDB or LoTU but I might try again sometime.
