Susan Coley (redllamamama) | 3 comments I'm backtracking on the Harry Dresden series, reading book one, Storm Front by Jim Butcher. I don't know if you would consider it romance but there has always been a thread of romance or maybe even longing in each book. I especially like the audio versions. The narrator has a certain conversational tone complete with sighs and whispers.

cerulean🦋 (fakeflowers) | 31 comments Just finished up The Tale of the Vampire Bride by Rhiannon Frater . Don't let the cover fool you, there's actually a quality vampire story behind it! (Well, there might be a few issues, but hey, it's only a few bucks on Kindle). After reading LOTS of sugary sweet vampy romances (don't get me wrong, I read them because I love them), but this was like a splash of cold water. The vamps featured were calculating, horific, selfish, and violent... but not heartless. I LOVED it. Be warned, it's a bit rough and graphic for some.

Grace (fictionaladventures) I'm reading Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick right now for the first time. At the beginning I was disappointed cuz it was written terribly and the jokes were lame. But after a few pages it got a lot better. I really like it now :D

At the top of the comment box there is clickable text that says "add book/author". Click on it and type in the box what you're looking for. At the bottom of the pop-up box it will have two options, link or cover.

So,

It Happened One Autumn would be your link and It Happened One Autumn (Wallflowers, #2) by Lisa Kleypas would be the cover.

Hope that was helpful. :D

I was reading that series along with Sookie because the short stories were in the same books for both, but I got sick of Dresden. I never really got into those books. I put them on hold and moved them way down on my TBR list. I think I read up to book 6 or 7. They took me way to long and I wanted to read all these other books everyone on here raves about. I felt like I was missing out, lol.

message 14170: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments I finished Smash Cut by Sandra Brown which was only okay (sorry Heidi) and now I am reading Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris which I haven't had any issues with. So far I like it as much as any of the others, I wasn't expecting that since most people seemed disappointed with it. Also since everyone has been talking about The Help by Kathryn Stockett I requested it from the library. It has a very good rating on Goodreads as well. I'm 100th in line, wonder how long that will take. lol. I hadn't planned on reading this book at all so lets hope it doesn't let me down =)

I really like Jeaniene Frost, Patricia Briggs, Richelle Mead, Rachael Vincent, Charlaine Harris, just to name a few. Also the Host book by Stephanie Meyers is really good.
