lol, if it's going to make me all dark and twisty inside perhaps I should stay away. I don't think my boyfriend could handle the mood swings, haha!

Don't get me wrong, it's enthralling, engrossing in in some point and it's a great series...just lots of patience bc the building up took too many books to get there, IMO. It's not dark as opposed to Georgina being boxed in to depressing situations bc of her role, her responsility and her link to humanity. The characterizations are engaging but pace is mediocre. I remembered cursing, lots of OMG's and WTF's, lol.

BTW...sometimes dark and twisted make you appreciate what a wonderful life you have, lol. I'd hate to talk anyone out of this series, I'm hooked and can't wait for the final book.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments No, No, No, Crazy4more, I'm going to ignore your Georgie and Roman comments. (Grin) I am totally with you about Outlander, although I think the pace has lagged a bit compared to the brilliant first four books. Also love Eve and Rourke!!!

Starting Dragon Bound, hope I love it.

La La | 245 comments I just started Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost . So far so interesting. Sometimes I feel like Bones talks like an old english lady, but I do picture him as Spike from Buffy. lololol

Well next I am going to read VA after I finish Sookie. Since the Georgina books are almost done, I may read those soon as well. I'd prefer to get all the 'done' series I want to read finished before I start on ones that aren't 'done'.

My all time favorite bookstore. In fact I've been to one in 4 different states. Every time I travel and am near one I make a point to go. I love their clearance section, a lot of times I get a book I want in good condition for just $1.

La La | 245 comments I'm still reading Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost , but to kill the slow moments at work I decided to read Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead . So far I really like Georgina. Despite being a succubus she comes across as a regular woman with same issues everyone else has.

message 14076: by Susinok (new)

Susinok I have had it since it came out but finally got around to Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews. I'm halfway through it and love it.

It was good. I did not love it but I enjoyed it. I will go back to reading Retribution. This book is not what I expected(not a good way).I am a long time DH fan.

I can't wait for the final book. Let me know what you think of Georgina Kincaid when you're ready. I don't know why I never got into Sookies' series. Maybe I loved the show so much that I didn't want to read ahead. I know they both are somewhat different. Enjoy.

message 14094: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Is it me again bc I can't get into the characterizations from Demon Angel (The Guardians, #1) by Meljean Brook , does anyone else have the same problem. I'm only 3rd way done but it seems choppy and not interesting enough. Then again I'm having family visiting, lots of late night, food & drinks and fun in the sun...that can explain the lack of focus, lol.

message 14095: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments The guardians series (Demon angel) is definitely one of the more complex series i follow, Crazy4more. I agree the writing style can be difficult to keep up with especially if pre-occupied. I have read about six in the series and it does get easier to follow the various characters but the writing style does not change much. I enjoy the series but it is probably not for everyone.

Katya | 645 comments Lisa M wrote: "I'm reading and loving Blood Hunt (Sentinel Wars, #5) by Shannon K. Butcher. I highly recommend The Sentinel Wars series."

Lisa, in the other books they sort of made Logan out to be some sort of second class citizen "Leach"....in the last book previous to the new release we got a peek into some really dark stuff having to do with the vampires and the world they exist in...it kinda gave me a more sympathetic view of him....What do you think after finishing this book? I bought it and haven't started it yet...Oh, and agreed...this is a great series!

message 14097: by Susinok (new)

Susinok Finished up Stormwalker by Allyson James, which started slowly but ended well, so I went ahead and got Firewalker and started it last night.
