La La | 245 comments I just finished reading The Fallen Raziel (The Fallen, #1) by Kristina Douglas , which I really enjoyed. Anne Stuart can really write some good but bad hero's, let me tell you. I need an angel like that in my life. Now I'm reading Notorious Pleasures (Maiden Lane, #2) by Elizabeth Hoyt . So far it's really good.

Rebecca | 225 comments I finished Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning and I LOVED it!!!! I loved the world the author created! I think its one of my favs.

Now I don't know what to read next. Any suggestions?

message 13454: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 225 comments Yes, but I think I might like Bones a tad bit more because he shows his emotions a little more. They are both sexy as hell though! lol

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Finished Inside Out (Brown Siblings, #3) by Lauren Dane . Hot, sweet and nice storyline...still wish it was Adrian's story. I'll just have to wait for his book, next.

Listening to Naked in Death (In Death #1) by J.D. Robb . Trying to get myself into The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook .

message 13457: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 1 comments I just finished Original Sin by Nina Bangs.

Now I'm reading the story that I'm currently writing. Pulse is about a young woman who stumbles into the after-dark world of vampires living and playing among humans. She meets and is seduced by the owner of a night club, who happens to be a powerful vampire in the area.

There is evil,of course, but I've just gotten to that point. It is still developing.

I've read it. I read the whole DH series. NO MERCY was one of the better ones after ACHERON though it'd be difficult to overshadow this one.

I have Demon. Once I learned that Kristina Douglas was the alias for Anne Stuart I ran out and got book 2 even though I hadn't read book 1 yet. Anne Stuart books are a auto buy for me.

I just started reading Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton . I'm enjoying it so far, and I hope it's the start of a new auto-buy series for me.

I just finished Changeling Moon by Dani Harper , and I recommend it to all you shifter fans out there. The second book, Changeling Dream by Dani Harper , is coming out June 28th and I'll be reading that, too.

Love this book. It changed my opinion on Mencheres. My blood pressure went up everytime he's present. Didn't know he was so romantic and didn't know his history, I was OMG, he's who???? Love him...after Bones, of course.

Kiss of Snow will not disappoint you. It is a great book! But, then again, I think anything with Hawke in it would be great.

message 13480: by Staci (new)

Staci Krause (rosethorn) | 3 comments I just finished Huntress (Grace Murphy, #1) by Nicole Hamlett .
It's a new book from a newly printed author and is an ebook only. It's got mythological tones, as the main character is the daughter of Diana, but it's as far from the Lightning Thief as a book can be. It's really character driven, as the main character is a 30 something recently divorced mom trying to figure out how to get over that heartbreak, take care of her kid and finish her latest cheesy romance novel (she's a writer) when the news about her real mother gets dropped in her lap. It's pretty good.

I'm currently reading Smokin' Seventeen (Stephanie Plum, #17) by Janet Evanovich .

I learned about Janet Evanovich when she was mentioned in a Barb Hendee Memories book (UF). I devoured the first sixteen books soon after and couldn't wait for #17 to arrive on the scene. It's not fantasy, but it's very funny and a good break from the heaviness of PR and UF. It stars an inept female bounty hunter torn between two men (but not seriously torn, just sort of funny torn) who manages to get her cars blown up or stolen a lot. It's hilarious.

Hi,
Barrons is in Karen Marie Moning's Fever series BK1 is Darkfever I just finished it, after reading all about Barrons on here. LOL.

What books is Bones in?

message 13484: by Aimie (last edited Jun 26, 2011 07:41AM) (new)

Aimie (aim4theneck) | 98 comments I just finished Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning which I decided to read after reading everybody discuss Barrons on here. He's very alluring and has me intrigued at what we might find out about him in future books.
I also just finished The Black Dagger Brotherhood An Insider's Guide by J.R. Ward which was really good. Z and Bella's little novella was lovely. It was full of info for aspiring writers which was great. It also gave some fab insight into JR's writing process. Plus heaps of giggles over smart ass comments from the brothers, especially Rhage and V ripping into each other..LMAO
I'm not sure what to read next its a toss up between Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh and Dragonswan (Dark-Hunter, #1.5) (Were-Hunter, #0) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kiss of Crimson (Midnight Breed, #2) by Lara Adrian by the looks of these three I'm in a steamy mood. LOL

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments I've read about five of Meljean Brooks Guardian Angels series. The first book Demon Angel is a good read but there is a lot of information, world building in it and it does get a bit confusing at times. The series definitely gets better as it goes along, I think it is just Meljean's style of writing. Does anybody else have an opinion on this series?

Yes I read the first one and the story is good but it does seem like there is a lot of white noise in there, I have got the next 2 books, but from reading the first one I'm not sure I want to read the next two. Maybe it is just me but the writing just seems to go on and on. But I also think you can't judge a series by the first book.

The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook is my first read from her and what a world of imagination that is. It does get overwhelm with details, characters and complex plot but in exchange, I get loss and pull into her amazing-magical-complex world.
