I just finished
and am so sad about it. . . Last night after finishing hard bitten I started reading

its an awesome book, though I'm having a love hate relationship with it now, lol
@Kiersten - Its' a good book and I agree with Sammie, I'm having a love/hate relationship with it as well. There were some great parts and I was crushed at the end. But Chloe said to trust her. . . sigh. November is far away :(

, I say read it. It is the best book yet in that series, in my opinion. It does give you a lot to think about afterwards.

I hate that the heroine had to be raped to achieve some of her power, which lead to Mac/Barrons hooking up. I would've preferred it be of her own free will.

Shadowfever alone makes the Fever Series worth reading....I also hated Mac getting raped...and of course I stayed up to finish Faefever...where she got raped and then had trouble sleeping...
Heidi, yes! I was traveling for work while reading & having the bed/room to myself in the dark was ... scary. Ha! 30 yr old woman here. This series has definitely grown on me.

There are'nt many series out there that I would walk away after getting so far. This, unfortunately was one of them. Felt like the author lost her way. I hope you are able to enjoy it better than I did. There was so much potential.

Just got a 3-boxed set of The Mortal Instruments. Looks daunting to see all 3 sitting there, unread, but I'm up to the task.

This particular one really opened my mind about issues I've ignored and I think that what's earned a 5 stars for me.

Wish I was in your shoes and reading it for the first time. I have to wait until the senile kick in to enjoy them again. I read these twice and then the audiobook. Hope you'll love it.

One of my favorite series. Dont let anyone talk you out of it. If we can live thru a similar storyline in the Fever series, we can get thru this one. I trust the author to make it right.
I finished
today. I didn't think it was as good as the first one. This is the one where Roarke was pushing for a comitment and they were on the outs for a big chunk of the book and I just don't think there was enough Roarke in this one...not to mention she kept thinking different people were the murderer and I just didn't think they were...I just started
