WOW! I envy most of you ladies! When i start a series, i have to finish that series before moving on to a new book/series. I see most of you ladies can read two-three series at one time! If i start on a series and i finish one book and the next in the series is not out yet, then i pick a book thats not in the series to read while waiting on the author to finish the next in the series! Its sooo confusing to me to star another series when i havent finished the first series!

Yall need to teacher me how to do that!

Okay. I am starting Lady of Light and Shadows (Tairen Soul, #2) by C.L. Wilson . I am so excited. I just finished Navarro's Promise (Breeds, #24) by Lora Leigh . It was okay. It was definitely better than her past 4 books.

I used to be the same way...but now I'm reading so many different series that I lost count. I think the key for me is finding series that are completely different...like one vamps, another witches, etc etc

I've never been good at savoring books...I prefer to devour them instead!! Good luck with taking it slow...

message 12208: by Sillylittlefishey (new)

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I just finished the ARC of Blood Drive A Vampire Novel by Traci Houston ...it was just ok for me. I liked the storyline but you can really tell it's the author's first book...I think it could really benefit from more developed characters and more details in the story itself. So hopefully they do some more work before it's release in October.

Now I'm taking a break from the paranormal and am reading Smash Cut by Sandra Brown so far I'm loving it!!

message 12209: by Shawn (new)

Shawn | 375 comments It happens for me when I have read all the books available in the series. Then I move on to another, by the time if finish a few more series the next book is coming out in the others. Eventually I find myself wanting to read the new ones even though I may be in the middle of a new series.

Soooo ... keep it going you will get there. ;)

Read slowly. I have a tendency to read too quickly through books I have been waiting on or excited to read. Take it in and savor it. Enjoy the BDB glow.

Jessica, I was exactly like you when I first started GR. I was amazed how one can keep up with so many different reads at the same time. 1.5 year later, I'm doing the same thing. First, there are all these latest books coming out on my varies outstanding series, than I have my favorite on-going series, than I run across 'must-read' rec'd by your friends. I thought I wanted to finish and focus on 1 series at a time, I got too consumed, like a high and then when the series ended, I sinked like a rock. Now I balanced it out by having at least 2 or 3 books so I don't get in that madness again...that's my excuse for multiple reads.

I have read all the books out. I thought they were great. The series has a great storyline and are on the steamy side. The secondary romances are just as interesting as the main romances. The last book in the series, Taken by Fire by Sydney Croft , comes out in June.

I think humor is difficult, not everyone has the same sense of humor and it's not always a given that you'll read with the intended delivery.
