I love reading series books, one after another, and was really bummed when I saw the next Mercy Thompson book won't be out until 2013! :(

..." Definitely stick with it. It's my favorite paranormal romance series of all time. Honestly, I thought the first two books were just meh.... However, the third book was REALLY good and I enjoyed the series immsensly from that point on.
I second all of that!!!! It took awhile to warm up but when it does....Whew they are amazing!

I'm with you all the way, missing my Jamie and Claire fix. Thank you for feeding my fix, lol.

I've never heard of those books before. What are they..."
Jeanine, it's hard to give enough credit to such an epic of a love story btwn Jamie and Claire that spaned over 200 yrs. Claire from 1940's went back in time 1740's thru the Stone Hedge. Thru the lengthy writings, you get so engrossed and enthralled with the characters, the storyline, the agonies, pains, honor and love...an epic not to be missed.

Ok, you are scaring me. I have only read the first book and I am nervous to read more. Are those happy tears or sad tears?

What???? Why 2013? I hadnt heard that. BOOOOOOO!

i will. i liked the first in the series. it's just that the lead characters' relationship seems unlikely. or maybe i just don't like Emma's vulnerability. although i'm not far enough to see why she behaves the way she does. i'm just used to independent strong female leads.

Re..."
i'm just at the beginning, pg.58. i probably haven't let the characters develop enough. i might be a little too critical =) although i really enjoyed the first in the series. don't let me sway u. i'll keep ya posted though.

@ Sandra - I read Beastly before it became a movie and really enjoyed it. It's the only YA book I've read to date.

happy to hear bk3 was great. i thought this one would be interesting cause of the interspecies romance. i'm still giving it a chance.
now, Singh i really like. i haven't read psy-changeling but i read bk1 of the guild series and i really liked it. i'm looking forward to the psy series.

Those were tears well worth shedding! The momentums built from the first 4 books crest over onto this 5th book. I'm saving the last 100 pgs for tonight when it's nice and quiet. It's so so good and will read again, and cry like a baby again and again.

Reading

It was AWESOME! I don't normally read books that lean towards the sci-fi genre but this has been an awesome series. It's Men in Black meets Rachel Morgan... I wasn't going to read this but it got such good reviews in the blogs I track that I had to give it a chance. It was definitely worth it and I will be re-reading this series again in the future!

Out of books for the moment, gonna browse these posts to come up with something new :)

You need to read the rest of Demonica it just gets better really"
I'll d..."
The fever series gets SOOO good later in the series. I promise! Must keep going!

If you go to Barnes & Noble's website

I got really bored with the book...they kept going into all the backstories...and it seemed like forever and there was no happy ending...and I didn't like the segue into the next book...it made me think very little of the main character, Two.

Ok. I will trust you. I will read book two as soon as I finish some of the others that just came out that i have been anxiously awaiting. It has been a crazy month for new releases. Is it always like this or just a fluke?

LOTU Lords of the underworld If you haven't read them

I am too on page 45 going slow for me since I just finished BDB and well I need to move on. I just love JR writing.
Anyway I hear Amun's book is good what do you think

Everything's slow after BDB read, but of course, you knew that. Wait for the BDB afterglow die out or you're just wasting another good read.

Thoroughly enjoying audiobook

If you guys haven't read J.L. Bryans's Jenny Pox series, then you are missing out. They are way under priced and super awesome reads. He writes like, Stephen King meets meets Richelle Mead :)

I Am reading that series too up to 5

I agree you have to wait for the BDB glow to wear off. I read something totally different after that. I was going to read Darkest Secret but my great GR friends told me to read something else first and then go back. It really did help. I enjoyed DS much better. I really loved the book.

Well i've just started with BDB, so I don't know if the books are good or not. German publishers splitted the books into 2 parts, so I have to wait until the other book will arrive, lol.
But back to Darkest Secret: Until now I'm a little confused... Started with chapter 3 - and yes, i suffer with Amun. But dunno what i should say about Haidee.

It was on her blog! The next book better be awesome and LONG!

The story left me very confused at points. The whole PsyNet thing left me confused. She didn't explain it very well. It's like Singh understood the concept well in her own mind but didn't explain it enough for her readers to get the big picture. Also, I thought there were a lot of contradictions with the Psy culture.
Usually I like really alpha males who are possessive and dominant. However, Lucas was someone I could not really make myself like. He seemed flat, like a cookie cutter type character.
I was REALLY hoping to like this book.I saw it got great reviews. If it stays consistant, I am afraid I won't like the rest. I just hope she explains the whole PsyNet thing in a better fashion.
Anyways, I am starting

Ugh you are so right what to do I usually find myself reading threads from BDB but sigh I did not do that this time. So I am trying to shift and just read

I don't know this series you need to spill and tell what has you all twisted i want all the gory details lol If it has you in a tizzy I need to add this to my list Can't wait for the details

I bought that book not expecting a lot out of it. Three days later, I'd read all three books in the series and swear up and down they are among my favorite books of all time.
