I am reading the third book in the Elemental Assasin seriers (Venom) by Jennifer estep. The series is pretty good so far and I love the heroine (Gin)... She's dark and sexy and is seriously making me ponder a career change to assassin for hire lol. I just finished Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning and the Fever series may be hands down the best I have ever read so far.

Sn: I've read the first 6 books in Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series but I just can't seem to really get into them. The pace is entirely to slow for me and there is not enough action throughout the books. I dislike that the main conflict takes a backseat to Adrian spending an entire book on the male and female leads fighting their attraction for one another before ultimately giving in to it. The structure becomes redundant and tedious by the 4th or so book in and the background war that's being fought progresses along at a snail's pace as a result.

This was actually my favorite of the series when she finally ends up in Russia and things take a strange turn.

I know me either...and all this time I thought just how different True Blood was from the books and I'm floored re-reading #1 and seeing just how much from the book they did put in the show...granted the show added a lot of other stuff to and I completely forgot about JB...I just merged him in with Hoyt in my mind, I guess.

That is one of my favs and Rhage is my favorite of the brothers although after that one you don't hear much from him...just a line here or there. I'm really hoping they have more of him in some of her future books.

Yea...it is so different from True Blood! I didn't start reading the books til after the 2nd season and was surprised at how different it was! I actually like the books better!! I want to re-read them soon as I finish all the other series' I have lined up!!

Thanks Nessa :) I'd love to hear recommendations. The Sookie series was what I wanted to start with but my local library had other plans. The more books I list the more chances of finding it at the library :)
