What are you reading right now?

I'm with you completely on the Barrons withdrawal. I think I have the perfect cocktail (that really wasn't a pun...) to recover. It took some Adam, Eric, Raphael and Ilya for me to get over it! He's a tough guy to chase away.

Keep it up Ana C.! The first book was definitely not the best. Once you get to the third, you will be hooked. It sets up an interesting world that if you loved/liked the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward, you will find yourself loving the Midnight Breed warriors as well.
I ended up buying the entire set and have gone back to re-read certain parts. The men are so troubled and the women ground them. How could I not love that scenario?
Trust me, keep reading, you will not be disappointed. If you are, you can blame me ;)

Hi Mitabird! I was hesitant to read the IAD series, but I finished A Hunger Like No Other at the beginning of January and I really enjoyed it. The second installment isn't available in my library as someone has checked it out, so I am waiting patiently. It is definitely worth a library rental.

I know who Adam is, but who are Eric, Raphael and Ilya?

Does Dante come back... for the life of me I can not remember and the next book comes out in April
I just discovered the paranormal mysteries by Madelyn Alt. I'm on book 2, A Charmed Death. I like the characters and setting, though they lack the excitement of the average paranormal.Madelyn Alt

Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse books (Charlaine Harris), Raphael from Angels' Blood (Nalini Singh), and Ilya from the Drake Sisters series (Christine Feehan).

I'm enjoying what I've read so far. I went into it thinking I wouldn't like it, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I hope it stays that way.

Hi, I really liked Dante. He hasn't come back as of the last book. I don't know what the next one will be about but I will check it out.

I just got shawdowfever in the mail and have not started on it yet since I have two sick kids. I want to be able to devote some time to it

Hi Vanessa,
Sorry bout delayed reply to your question. It has some similarities to BDB in the sense that J.R. Ward has maintained her usual writing style (i.e. splitting the storyline between multiple characters etc). However this series is based more on the war between angels & demons. It is set in Caldwell also, and there are brief mentions on BDB related places & sometimes a character bumps into someone however those are pretty few & far between...
I am about half way through 'Crave' and loving it. I think if you enjoy Ward's writing style and work then you should enjoy this also :)

You would also love these books, I am going to work on the Shadow dweller series next

Gideon: The Nightwalkers
Elijah

You chose a great time to start reading the series. The wait between each book was UNBEARABLE. Just wait till you get to Last Sacrifice :)

I bet it was!!"
At least now, you'll be impatient for Bloodlines like the rest of us!

I love those books!! they are refreshingly different no paranormal, but they make up by the great storyline, I cannot wait for the next book.

You are so lucky. That was a really tough wait.

Hey thanks I will look in to them, I really loved the BDB series I am impatiently waiting for the next book. I hate waiting for good books to come out lol

I just finished the first 6 Chapters... WOW! Barrons. <3

Oh I'm pretty attracted to funny AND sexy series right now. Anyone got any suggestions? I've already finished off the following: What A Dragon Should Know SUPER Edition and all the other shifter books by this author, all the Night Huntress novels. Actually just funny (laugh-out-loud) series would be great! (Dresden Files and the Discworld series are some of my favorite!)
Oooh, time to head home!

Holy FECK at the Faefever ending!!"
I hated the ending of that one...and I stayed up late reading it and then I couldn't sleep...

Mine too!!! And a really great person in general. :)

I'm liking it so far but not loving it. Am hoping my expectations weren't too high!"
The first one starts a little slow but they definitely get good in the 2nd and 3rd book.
