I also thought Crave was the better book too. I didn't get into Covet all that much.

Okay, LOL, if I'm honest, I want her to be with Roman b/c I want him too! ;p Yeah, I know what you mean about the "nice guy" part. Though from his description, he's not my type in looks, but Roman.....well that's another story :)

Donna, i only read Wicked Nights but wasn't really impressed. i haven't read any others. the plot sounded so great that i wanted to read it but the connection between the characters didn't flow to me. they just jumped in to it. have u read this one?

Joyce ive read the Mona Lisa and Lucinda series by Sunny and really enjoyed..Let me know what you think..
Im just starting

Joyce, don't give up on Monere series bc of the sex, the storyline and plots are amazing. I'm patiently waiting for the next book. I heard Wolves of Mercy Falls series is awesome but the cliffhanger is really bad.
Steph, I haven't read Lucinda yet but I will. I love her brother from the very beginning.

Next, need my J. Frost writing from

Let me know what you think about Viking Warrior. I just got/read it as an e-book on my computer. I was disappointed in it. It's not the worst book I've ever read but certainly not one of the better ones either. It was just ok. Not worth the purchase in my opinion.

Crazy4more,
The cliffhanger is null and void in the first one but I heard the same about the second in the series so I am going to wait closer to the release of the third book to start the second (if that makes sense). I do have to agree that the story is really good.
As far as Mona Lisa, its been sitting on my shelf for so long that I decided to finally try it.

I think I'm going to read

So what is Darkfever?
It's the first installment of a story told over the course of five novels that is a romance, and a fantasy, and a mystery and even part thriller.
Is there sex in my Fever series? Absolutely. Is there romance? Definitely. Does it all happen in the first book? No. It happens when it's time.

Jen right there with you Richelle Mead is one of my top fav writers all her series are really good.
Bout to start either

I read the second Drake book, Dayhunter, this week and thought it was much better than first book. Made me decide it is worth sticking with the series.

I ended up liking the first book. I plan on starting the second one in the next few days.

Well that sucks that there is a group in here like that, and it's a shame that you might be leaving.

That's too bad. I hope Goodreads responds (I'm sure they will). I sincerely hope you stick around.

She's the same narrator as the Anita Blake books, so that's probably why you feel it is similar. I love her voice, and she is the main reason I was able to finish this book. If I was reading it, I would have probably given up.
For me, this book is a major information dump, but I stuck with it. The 2nd book is better (again I got it in audio), and I heard it continues to get better.

I am struggling to get through the first Anita Blake book (I plowed through the first 200 pages now I'm at a standstill). Maybe I'll try the audio.

There are two narrators for the Anita Blake books: Christine Holloway and Kimberly Alexis. I don't have a list of which books are narrated by who. I'm partial to Holloway...not really a fan of Kimberly Alexis.
So, listen to a sample first and see if you like the narrator.

when i first started listening to it i didn't think i'd like it but then Tomas was introduced. i'll stick it out and see if it gets any better. i don't think i would i have read it either if i didn't get it on audio book. i'm an audio book junkie now and need books to listen to at all times. it's the only one i have right now. so it'll have to do =)

Rebecca, don't let that silly (nasty) group keep u from the site. i like reading ur comments and book reviews. as u can see i'm being totally selfish and thinking only of me =) but seriously, reporting that group should put a stop to their behavior. stick in there =)

I love audiobooks, too. I always have one in my car. : )
Books that are usually narrated in first person, I usually try to get them in an audiobook format.

Katie, I love Moning's Highlander series. It's beautifully written, smart, funny, hot & tasteful with great plots. It gave me lots of background of the Fae and the Druids. Enjoy.

Ok, so let the flaming begin!

I was thinking about starting the fever series, but I havent read the highlander series yet. Why are you glad that you read it first? Does it help you understand the fever series better?

I would just like to remind you guys that this thread is about books that we are currently reading.
I don't think this thread is the place for your current issues. If you guys need to communicate with each other, you could use GR's private messaging system.

I truly thank you for your explanation. It makes the whole thing less one-sided. I 100% retract my previous post about GR taking action. If Rebecca joined despite your (very clear, I might add) warning about the graphic nature then shame on her for joining and shame on her for flaming your group on another group's boards as well as attempting to shut your group down.
From your description I would judge that your group would probably not be for me. But, I would not join only to cause trouble-I would simply just move past it and ignore it in favor of something that appealed to my interests more. I urge Rebecca to do the same.
But, I am also curious about GR's stance via their Terms of Service and wonder whether, due to her complaint, if they will take any sort of action.
Edit: I realize that this is a thread about books. I just felt the need to comment since one of the group's members originally brought the subject up in the thread.

I found that it was just too much information to keep interested. I felt like there was a book before that one that I had missed.
