Caramelle | 106 comments Finally found the time to finish
Jewel of Atlantis (Atlantis, #2) by Gena Showalter

Currently debating whether to read:
The Nymph King (Atlantis, #3) by Gena Showalter Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare or Sin Undone (Demonica, #5) by Larissa Ione ...

A part of me wants to just get the Atlantis series done with, another wants to catch up on the Demonica and the last part is telling me to wait on Clockwork since its only the first of the series and may cause me mental pain if i were to read it too early...

Still on the 'to-read' list:
The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter Nightlife (Cal Leandros, #1) by Rob Thurman Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh

message 8753: by Gabriella (new)

Gabriella (belley) I'v got Raised by Wolves (Raised by Wolves, #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes The Darkest Kiss (Lords of the Underworld, #2) by Gena Showalter and Storm Glass (Glass, #1) by Maria V. Snyder
and I have no idea which one to read next! Any recommendations?

message 8757: by Dija (new)

Dija Currently reading Web of Lies (Elemental Assassin, #2) by Jennifer Estep I loved the first book, so I'm sure this one will be amazing as well.

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Just finished Clockwork Angel and really enjoyed it. Horrible to have to wait months to read the next one.

message 8759: by Crazy4more (last edited Sep 02, 2010 11:30AM) (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Lazuline, funny I just found Web of Lies at the library and have requested the first book. I'm glad you think it's good.

I'm done with Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning AND now I'm in the same big boat with all of you for the next and last book. OK, seriously the cliff-hangers for the last 2 books are NOT funny.

I'm starting Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh . I REALLY REALLY hope it will help holding me off until Shadowfever. If not I have Moning's Highlander series on my night stand too.

Sounds like a good plan?

message 8760: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 429 comments I warned you its cliff hanger was like woah! Welcome to the countdown to January!

I am enjoying it. I tried listening to one on audio and the voice was a TERRIBLE choice, imho. So back to the books I went!

message 8765: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 429 comments I hope you like the books better than the audio!

message 8766: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Jennifer, seriously, does Moning really really has to pull a cliffhanger like that? It's not like we wouldn't read her next book. The good thing is she resolve it right away in the first 2 chapters. Moning has 2 chapters to solve this cliffhanger, I'm going to so throw the book away, lol. Nah...just really really hated such ending.

message 8767: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 429 comments I know! It was so uncalled for, leaving us hanging like that, lol!

message 8768: by ضحى (new)

ضحى الحداد (dhlola) i am currently reading " a rebel princess" .. it's a typical romantic story about a 18 years old princess who is forced to marry a king of 55 years old and how can she rebel to find her true love .. it's refreshing to get those kind of books once in a while :)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 411 comments @ Gabriella- I would say Darkest Kiss, not only is it the only book of those that I have read, it also has best cover : )

message 8770: by Gabriella (new)

Gabriella (belley) Darkest Kiss it is then! Mmmm... topless men :)
I tend to choose books by their covers which isnt good coz alot of really great books have ugly covers. :(
Thanks for the recommendation!

Loving this book so far. What a man - Lucien is one hunk of a demon. Dont you love Anya - she is so kick ass.

message 8773: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments I love Anya!!!!! she's hilarious. They have such great chemistry and they kick butt.

More great reads to come with LOTU. I love all of the books. And each of their HEA's, their resolves with their demons are so different. I cracked up everytime Kane / Disaster Demon appeared, poor guy.

Enjoy.

message 8788: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments What is it about Bones, I hate that I'm comparing and trying to replace Bones with by series, urg....

I'm reading Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh and loving it. I can imagine how magnificent Raphael's wings spread and enclose around Elena.

message 8789: by Robin (new)

Robin OOO what is this? tell me more

message 8790: by Crazy4more (last edited Sep 04, 2010 04:39PM) (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments It's a different concept of vampire. It's vampires reporting to angels to archangels. Elena is a vampire hunter, but instead of killing them, she returns of to the angels who made them. The Archangels try to keep the balance though they think very little of humans. Hence Elena is a challenge to Raphael (the archangel of NY). She is the best and he needs her to hunt an archangel gone rouge.

...yes, there is lots of similarity in the storyline of Cat & Bones....need I say more? but not as funny but very good still.

message 8794: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Amy, can't wait to hear what you think of Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh . Raphael is getting my attention...

Robin, I thought it was too busy with so many characters, especially with the first book. It'll get better and better once you get a handle of who's who.

message 8798: by Dija (new)

Dija Currently reading Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione and I'm so glad I didn't put off reading this just because I'm not the biggest fan of BDB.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 411 comments I just finished reading Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins *sniffles* I now feel a bit melancholy! But such an AMAZING trilogy, everyone should read it.

Am now going to move onto something more lighthearted I think: The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes by Jennifer Crusie

message 8800: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments OMG, I love Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh . It's sooo like Demonica but you're dealing with Archangel going rouge. Instead of ugly, putrid, nasty demons, I'm so enthralld by the magnificent angels' wings, blue with silver trim, strong golden spreads that covered Elena from rain and sunshine, sigh...Being human, Elena-a mortal with a warrior spirit, was considered a toy to Raphael. A toy he's not willing to share and possessive was just the beginning...little did he realized, she's his weakness, his humanity and eventually can lead to his immortality death.

Suzanne, I'm glad Mockingjay is amazing, I heard otherwise. Still waiting for my book at the library.
