Same here. ^_^ I'm liking it a lot better than "First Drop of Crimson.

Ana (anacnunes) Yesterday I started reading The Darkest Kiss (Lords of the Underworld, #2) by Gena Showalter . I didn't really like the first book all that much, but I couldn't help but pick up this one. Even thought the one I'm dying to read is the third book of the series.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments I'm halfway through Eternal Kiss of Darkness. I like it better than First Drop of Crimson, too.

message 8455: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) I finished Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen and it was good but not something I would normally read so it wasn't fantastic for me. Now I'm going to start Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead something a little more my style. lol

When you say the first book, you mean The Darkest Fire? Because that's sort of like a prequel and not representative of the series, IMO. Granted, I've just started reading LOTU, but I got the Lords of the Underworld Bundle that includes the first four. I just finished that last night. I may not have stayed interested if I *just* read the prequel. Hopefully you'll find #2 good -- I did. And #3 and #4 are good too. Good enough to continue the series. :-) I went and bought the rest of what currently exists last night.

I think the next one is due out in February. She said she'll do 7 or 8 total for the series (if I remember correctly).

Fabiane Abreu (fabers) Finished Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews and The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins , and I must say I'm a huge fan of these series now. I'll definitely be waiting for the next books.

Just started Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins and then will start Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger . I have high expectations for the Parasol Protectorate series!

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments OMG, I love Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost soooo much. I never knew Mencheres can be so romantic, sigh. Only 120 pgs more to go, boohoo. I kept rereading passages and savoring every word from Ms Frost. Love it.

I meant "The Darkest Night". I haven't read the prequel yet.
I'm almost done with the second, and even though I like it better than the first, it's still not "there" for me. I'll read the third and if it continues only being "mildly" interesting, I'll have to drop it afterwards. Lets see how it goes.

Samantha (sammichelle) | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'm new to this discussion and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a new great paranormal romance series for me to read. So far Ive read BDB, Midnight Breeds, Demonica, LOTU, The Breeds, IAD, Dark Hunter, Psy-Changeling, and Guardians of Eternity. BDB, IAD, and Dark Hunter have been my favorite series so far and I'm desperatley looking for something just as good! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!!

message 8470: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Have you read The Night Huntress? I found that this series is my # 2 favorite after BDB and I've read Midnight Breeds, Demonica, LOTU, BDB, and Dark Hunter.

message 8471: by Rizzaleen (new)

Rizzaleen | 10 comments Started reading Night Life by Caitlin Kittredge. Not so good for me. tried reading Book 2 and hoping it'll get better but still a no-no for me. Started reading Stray by Rachel Vincent. So far so good. I like the characters and the story. Easy to get into. :D

Heather in FL (heather_fl) Ana C. wrote: "I meant "The Darkest Night". I haven't read the prequel yet."

Yeah, sorry... I went back and looked and I was apparently completely confused. ;-) I actually liked the first one, but I have been noticing a bit of repetition. That's what I get for reading them back to back. The one complaint I have is that when the H/h finally get together, the dialogue is so incredibly cheesy, lol.

I love this book too. I didn't expect Mencheres to be the romantic type. The storyline, the characterizations and the details were much better than Spade's book. I didn't want it to end, I love Mencheres now. Always thought he's too timid and untouchable due to his power and older-than-dirt age, but oh, was I wrong, sigh...

He's VERY romantic and I just fell in love with him during this book. I also liked this book better than Spades. Mencheres is so dreamy! :D

message 8484: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Jen, I totally agree! I never ever thought he'd be such a sweetie bc of his power & responsibility to his people. And I love Kira too. With Mencheres history and exposure, they have great potential for their own series...well, mix in w/Cat & Bones too, of course.

Just got my hands on The Darkest Lie (Lords of the Underworld, #6) by Gena Showalter , so I'm going to finish this series b4 starting others.

I'd read a dedicated series of Mencheres and Kira as well...

message 8487: by Sandra J (new)

message 8489: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (kiki_tx) I started this last night Shadow Bound (Shadow Series, #1) by Erin Kellison

I am halfway done and pleasantly surprised by how well the story flowed. Especially since I did not have a clue about the book. One of the few books I didn't bother to read the description on back or any reviews.

message 8490: by Budletsmom (new)

I just started Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione last night and had a hard time putting it down to sleep - can't wait to get some time to read some more. Luckily I have the 1st four books in the series and won't have to wait for the library - not that they even had these. Thinking I will have to buy the next book next week at this rate.

Anita (a1momgram) | 32 comments I just finished Beastly by Alex Flinn and took a quick Paranormal break and read Into the Storm (Troubleshooters, #10) by Suzanne Brockmann . Trying to deside what to start next. I'll start the YA series from Kelley Armstrong The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong The Awakening (Darkest Powers, #2) by Kelley Armstrong The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong If you've read them is it a good series? Is there a cliff hanger ending for the third book? Thanks

message 8494: by [deleted user] (new)

I love the Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelley Armstrong. No cliff hangers at the end of the third book. There is a fourth book coming out involves a different main character but same world.
