Well I did love the Cassie books Floozy. I'll read the other Karen Chance books soon - I could say this month, but that would be a lie. I'm so behind on my challenges.

So does nngghhh mean it's good or bad? I have that book on my TBR shelf.

Is that the first book in that series? I tried the first one and was so embarrassed for the heroine that I had to put it down.

It's the second. It's the only book of the series that was available on the shelf :p I'm not going to say that the story is awesome and engaging. BUT the ending was really good and intriguing that I'm looking forward to get the third :)

Oh, BDB is a great series! It's very exciting and heartfelt. All of the book in the series are wonderful except, IMO, the 6th book.

message 5609: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (sleo) I just finished Skinwalker for the challenge. It was ok. Good writing, main character not so sympathetic IMO. But her alter ego is great! Am starting Nalini Singh's Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh , my first.

Carolyn, nnnggggh is a no. That one was definitely one of the misses for me, but I haven't written her off completely.

Jason Bradley (slavetopassion) I just finished reading Hero by Heidi Cullinan last night and it was soo good! It has mythology and shapeshifters and Neil-Gaiman-like worlds! WOW! Its m/m for any who need that bit of warning. :)

message 5617: by Angelia (new)

Angelia Sparrow | 1 comments Just finished Seti's Heart by Kiernan Kelley. Reading a contemporary right now. My favorite paranormal romance series so far is the Raintree series. Didn't care for book one, but 2 and 3 were great.

message 5618: by Tina (new)

Tina | 53 comments I am currently reading Mona Lisa Craving written by Sunny. It is the 3rd in the series. It is a unique series I'll say that much.

MsBeaglely | 118 comments I recently finished The Iron Hunt (Hunter Kiss, #1) by Marjorie M. Liu . It started off good, but half way through it lost steam & I found myself struggling to finish it. Started reading Any Given Doomsday (Phoenix Chronicles, #1) by Lori Handeland & hoping for a good book.

message 5620: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (sleo) Just finished Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh and am writing off amateur writing style to first book syndrome? Engh, but plot was interesting enough that I'll try #2.

Midnight Blossom (nightblossominglily) | 1 comments Just finished Anya Bast's Witch Blood (enjoyed her work, as always!) and I will be moving on to Nalini Singh's Angels' Blood. This will be my first read of her novels and I'm looking forward to it!

Heather B (heatherbenson) I like those books too, the older historical part really adds to it.

message 5625: by Heather (new)

Heather (sparkleyturtle) | 151 comments I am finishing up City of Bones (Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare .

I don't think I am going to continue with this series. It is too young adult for me, I think. I am not seeing this whole relationship with Jace, and the big bad does really remind me of the Harry Potter storyline.

Guess this one is just not for me, but I am so close to the end, I just have to finish it.

message 5626: by Erin (new)

Erin (erin-b) I'm working my way slowly through In the Face of Death (Madelaine series #2) by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro and an audio book of Dark Demon (Carpathians, #16) by Christine Feehan . Liking both so far.

message 5627: by [deleted user] (new)

Aaaand it's a big 'No thanks, really, I couldn't eat another bite' for me with this book: Immortal by Gillian Shields

I made it to Pg 25 and man, I am the wrong demographic all over for this book. YA, why are you pushing me away like this?

Carolyn F. I finished An Enchanted Season and A Kiss of Fate: A Novel. Both of those were 3s to me. I'm reading Master of Ecstasy by Nina Bangs and I'm liking it. The humor reminds of Kresley Cole.

Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 122 comments After finishing Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews , which I really liked, I'm now onto Midnight Awakening (Midnight Breed, #3) by Lara Adrian my first book from this author. Really enjoying it. I'm once again jumping into the second (I think) book in a series, but this one is easy. Not a lot of backstory or arc going on. The last book I tried was so overwhelming with all of the various elements/creatures and backstory, I lost interest after 50 pages. Hate when that happens :/

I just finished Enchanted by Shana Swendson not in this genre and it really should be a YA book. Then I read two books by Sherilyn Kenyon. Very quick reads that were ok.
Now I just started Undead and Unwed Mary Janice Davidson. Funny, light but no real Romance to speak of yet and I am on page 125. So I am not sure. Looking for a really good one. I need some suggestions.

message 5641: by [deleted user] (new)

JaimeRush - Just wanted you to know that you are starting with the third book in the Midnight series and there is a plotline that is continued throughout all the books. You are also missing the story of Lucan, who is the Breed warriors leader, and Dante, who is one of the hottest Breed warriors. :)

Heather (sparkleyturtle) | 151 comments Finally finished City of Bones (Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare . Sorry for all of you out there that like it, I am taking a pass on anything further with this series.

Returning back to Night Huntress with One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost . Bring on Bones!

Heather (sparkleyturtle) | 151 comments Nicole wrote: "not seeing the relationship with jace huh? just wait until you do finish it. i didn't read the rest of the series either. it just didn't pull me in."

Yup, I am definitely with you. I had caught a spoiler someplace about their relationship and hoped for more. Oh well. I think the only characters in there that I liked were Luke and Simon. They aren't enough to keep me reading, but they were the only ones that I cared about.

Also, do you think it was just lack of creativity that the main characters name is so close to the author's last name?

(wow - I am surprising myself with my dislike for this)

message 5646: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished Master of Ecstasy. Loved it. Now I'm reading Frostbitten. I'm only on the first chapter.

message 5647: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Finished Shades of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #7) by Lara Adrian . I really liked the two characters this book of the series focuses on. Since Kade had a mission to go up to Alaska to look into a rogue problem, I thought the story overarching the series would not progress very much, but was pleasantly surprised. From the events that happen in this book, I am guessing Brock is featured in the next book.

Now reading - Spider-Touched (Ghostland World, #2) by Jory Strong

Hi :)
Yes I did enjoy it. I found it kind of hard to get into at first because it's confussing in the beginning and I just didn't have time to try. Around the midle of the book it starts to really improve and the never ending questions that are unanswered just makes you want to keep reading that much more. I can't say it's the best book I've read and I on't think that I would say it's a favourite, but it is definietly worth the read, and I am really looking forward to the second book, I really want some answers!
I hope that that helps and isn't too confusing, and I hope that if you do chose to read that you like it too.
