I totally agree. The Darkest Kiss (Lords of the Underworld, #2) by Gena Showalter That book was my least favorite of the series and rather disappointing since I liked Lucian and thought he deserved better.

I just finished that one. I remembered the early books being darker and more focused on Anita's animator job but this one really brought it home to me just how much the series has morphed into something else.

message 5263: by Laurie (barksbooks) (new)

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) I started Marjorie Liu's The Red Heart of Jade last night but I don't know if I'll finish it. The story just isn't appealing to me.

Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 122 comments Yz the Whyz, Yeah, I can see why you have a crush on Sully! :) I'm sooo looking forward to getting back to the book.

Jen,
Linnea calls them Star Trek with Sex, LOL. Definitely science fiction.

"since I liked Lucian and thought he deserved better." (This reply thing doesn't seem to be working...)

I HATE it when the heroine doesn't live up to the hero! I read a book awhile back that I totally did not want them to get together, though I can't remember the title.

message 5300: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jnhart) Just finished Trick of the Light (Trickster, #1) by Rob Thurman which I loved!
