Exactly.

message 257: by Kassie (new)

Kassie (kasst12) I'm really excited for Mockingjay!!! That is the third and last in the Hunger Games.

message 258: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (JessfromTex) | 118 comments Jillian, I agree with you. There are too many vampire/ fallen angel stories out there. The authors think that's what we want, but personally I read books for the intersting stroy lines and characters, not for trends. Although, there are some vamp books I like such as: Vampire Academy, House Of Night, and THIRST!!! I haven't liked any of the fallen angel stories I have read, because they are all to predictable

Agreed.

Andrez (andrez-ssi) ditto

message 261: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Why do most authors think that because one thing is popular that that is the only thing we readers will read? It's annying! Although, it's probably not purely the author's faults.....The publishers have a role in it too- because they essentially 'decide' what books the readers will read. But as that is purely based on what is happening right then and in the past.....Readers change! hahaa. There's always new ones coming in with different tastes.

message 262: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm excited for Mockingjay and The Forgotten Locket.
But I don't know if I can wait that long......

message 263: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (JessfromTex) | 118 comments what is the forgotten locket?

i'm also excited about mockinjay :D

message 264: by Miss Amelia (last edited Jun 13, 2010 04:41PM) (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) The Forgotten Locket is the 3rd book in the HOURGLASS trilogy by Lisa Mangum

I'm excited for that one too, Kaylin! Thanks for listing it! :D

message 265: by *Mrs. Brightside* (new)

*Mrs. Brightside* I CANT WAIT for the Last Sacrifice! I also cant wait for Sweet Deceit.. Both are great series!

message 266: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (JessfromTex) | 118 comments I know, I cannot stop thinking about the Last Sacrifice!!! Princess, do you mean Sweet Deceit by Kate Brian? Because I'm pretty sure it's already out. Unless you don't live in the U.S.?

Amelia, is the Hourglass Door the first in the Hourglass trilogy? Or is it a totally unrelated book? 'Cause I've had quite a few people recommend it to me and I think I'm going to get it sometime next month :)

message 267: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) It's the first in a trilogy. I would definitely recommend it. You might find it a little dragging in parts (I did), but it's a wonderful, WONDERFUL book! I've got book two waiting to be read :D
Go for it!

message 268: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (JessfromTex) | 118 comments Okay I was pretty sure I was going to get it, but with all this positive feedback I will definitely put it on TBR list :)

message 269: by *Mrs. Brightside* (last edited Jun 25, 2010 06:51PM) (new)

haha I felt like suing Hastings for calling the wrong number and not trying again, causing me to get Mockingjay a day late.

So far in 2010, I have read two highly anticipated sequals.

Mockingjay and The Necromancer

I may have had way to higher expectations for them, but am strongly disappointed in both books.

message 285: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 4295 comments Mod
Well I was disappointed.
Personally, I didnt like it much at all.
Mind you, by friends Caitlin and Alicia *loved* it. But there are just so many things that let it down...
I look forward to hearing your opinion.

message 286: by [deleted user] (new)

I have a choice to get 1 book...mockingjay or clockwork angel????

message 287: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) mockingjay. because its the end of the series, youll be ending the story. if you get CA, youll just get something more to think about.

message 288: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 4295 comments Mod
Yes, get Mockingjay because it is the end to a great series.
Even though I didnt like the book as much as expected, I am glad that I own it.

message 289: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok..thanks...I'll probably get mockingjay

message 290: by Daniel (new)

Daniel I hope the book after the red pyramid comes out!

message 291: by Jordan (new)

Jordan (flyinglogicmonkey) | 2426 comments I liked Clockwork Angel more than City of Bones. I still haven't read City of Ashes and City of Glass, though.

Daniel, how was The Red Pyramid? I read an excerpt and it seemed okay. Is it worth buying it?

message 292: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) its really good!!

message 295: by Daniel (new)
